Unbelievable! I will try this out, thanks! One question though: Suppose the track starts with a single buildup sound which doesnt 'fit' the energies, but when all elements come together the frequencies 'fit', is this ok or is everything supposed to be within these ranges? Hopefully im clear in my question :)

You can split track to different part and analyze them differently. I think that's how I would do it. Like if there's no sub bass in bridge I'd pick other preset. You can also make presets from reference tracks, probably better way than using generic "bass heavy", "classic" etc. Though try get wav or flac instead of mp3 for reference, if possible, but that's not super big deal.

Hello, I write to you because I have a problem with "total balance control" Even if I charge neutron 3 on a track that I call "Hi-Hats" for example it will detect neutron but I will not be able to access directly "EQ In total balance control do you know why?

what do you do if your low end crest is peaking to the right but the bass level is in the middle of the expected range?

decreasing compression for low-end might work, or adding some syncopation to the bass notes or less stuff here overall.

tonal balance is best used at the end of the mastering chain so u see if u still have to make some subtle or drastic changes in a particular frequency band

On references...how do you get a wav file of a song you love and want to use?

Also WAV is always best practice, but the tonal balance will be as apparent in an MP3, so don't worry too much.

Describing the Crest Factor you said, "if it's too far to the right the low end is lacking in dynamics and if it's too far to the left the low end can use compression." Umm... isn't that saying the same thing?

left means too dynamic, right means too compressed. The guy didn't know how to fucking explain it properly lmao. He went full negative instead of plainly explaining what it is.

it is not gonna happen because there is a huge creative side to mixing. you can make a million different "great" mixes of the same track.

I know I'm a prick but tell me who doesn't scoop out the unneeded frequencies on ALL of his instruments to clear up the mix? Kick or bass not fat enough? Boost the fundamental frequency and cut the unnecessary ones. And or apply multiband compression. I like ozone but atleast for me neutron is at best unnecessary. I don't consider myself an audio engineer but you have to learn certain things yourself. Assistant software can help you but won't replace your own ears
