Heya. Using studio one 5 and cannot see the keyswitches tab. How can I bring it up? Pressing on + brings up this window with additional parameters, but they are not in there either.
This was the one feature that made me I upgrade to Studio One 5 from version 4. Requested it and Presonus delivered. Clearly and calmly explained as always by Mike with examples of quantizing 👍 (I think the same advantage applies to transposing pitches in parts?) The only trouble is when you have a 'tree' structure of articulations. For example I use VSL and the instruments have a 1st main articulation (for example sustain, staccato, pizzacato etc. ) then a secondary (e.g. accented, marcato, spiccato) and sometimes even a third branch. This means a certain key (e.g. D#1) could give completely different articulations dependIng on which main 'branch' has been selected. Therefore you cannot correctly label the keyswitch lanes. Shame, but still an improvement to the old way. You can find my VSL keyswitch set ups on the Exchange that Mike mentioned if you want to save some time. Been subscribed for a long time Mike - always a pleasure to see your videos.
Hi Mike, the next release of Cakewalk by Bandlab will introduce the same functionality. They call it "articulation map", but is an exact copy. I really like your approach to teach on features. Keep it up!
I hope they add ch. 1 to 16 as an options in the future amongst other things. No need to make things super complex but this 1st version is really basic... But I'm glad they added it cause I'd still by on Cubase if they didn't.
can you please do a tutorial on exporting an project and all the individual tracks from cakewalk to be imported into studio one for finishing/mastering..?
So I have a weird glitch, where my line "velocity, note controller, key switches, et al" is not there. Instead it's "velocity, note controller, sound variations" etc. Any ideas on how to get what you're showing?
