Closing the distance and getting a takedown in MMA is tough. Using many techniques to mix up your attack will help improve the number of takedowns you finish. Trying to get a takedown in MMA without a setup and angle is going to lower the fighters success rate. The calf kick is very effective strike. It can change an entire fight by itself. If you can build your offense around scoring the calf kick. You will raise your chances of winning the fight. Taking down your opponent is great way to slow down his striking and put him in a defensive mindset. When you start to score both calf kicks and takedowns you will surely be in control of the fight. This will allow you to open up your offense even more as a striker and grappler. When kicking be sure to use your frames. These are used as blinders and defense in case your opponent comes forward. This is a great way to create an angle and attack with strikes or takedowns. As an advanced MMA athlete you should be using stance switches to mix up your striking and grappling attacks. This will absolutely help in keeping your opponent off balance.

Great but If the opponent moves a little bit we can finish like Weidman or Anderson Silva and game over. Very risky.
