@@mattbowen7978 like yeah wtf does he mean ive tried everything i cant "catch" it. i get the 2k lock with brake and accel, i e brake, let off brake, tap clutch and it just revs up and comes down to 2k again
Basically you go up to the line and set launch control using both the hand break and regular break then you double tap the clutch but hold the second tap at your desired rpm then let go of the break and you’ll be at locked at a rpm and the hand break and clutch are the only thing holding you. Let go of the hand break and clutch and that’s how you launch
Something to check out is when doing this is watch your hp and tq because even tho it doesn’t change boost levels sometimes the hp and tq number jump up like crazy ! This was in your c8 I noticed this. 271 vs 448
Yeah pretty much everything about Horizon is rough around the edges other than having a nice looking map. Between TDU, GT, and NFS2022 devs really need to step it up and make a true next gen driving game.

I got it to work but it was on a entirely different car. Even though I tried on a few others. But I'll try to remember which ones it worked and which ones didn't. The ones that didn't started the launch at 4 and stayed there. The car I was driving earlier went to 6
I've been doing the higher launch control for weeks and now I can't get it work anymore. Did they patch it or something? Miss launching my 98 Supra at 3k rpm and now it only does 2k rpm... So frustrating
Idk what happened but a few days ago my game started doing that too for no reason. Whatever I try to do it just stays at like 1k rpm in the supra but before it would hold near 3k.
@@themicrowavenetwork figured it out .. for me it was my controller settings.. I attempted to put on telemetry thing and that some how cause the launch control to stop working. Try resetting your controller settings
Pretty sure the answer is no, but is the advanced launch (i.e. increased RPM/boost), possible via a steering wheel setup? Remapping the buttons on the wheel doesn’t seem to work, considering the settings I’m changing from apparently NEED to be assigned (e.g. quick view, ANNA, etc). Thanks in advance!
Omg thank you for saying this I've been searching for months as to why my launch control stopped working for all my cars. As soon as I changed my controller mapping back to default, boom back to normal with launch control that works and any rpm.
In the mk5 supra of your boy launching from second you're not doing it right. At a stop, tap ebrake, full throttle and it'll maintain a certain rpm, then release brake. And off you go.
Really what they should of done is added an additional tuning function to set 2 step/launch control, and anti lag how you would do it in real life, ontop of also allow players to tune boost amount and onset.
I use normal manual and to get around 2k RPM launches, I go intro reverse, hold the brake and gas then shift to 1st to get that RPM hold. Idk how else to hold RPM with full gas without redlining because it happens sometimes randomly.
Sometimes you have to hit the gas first and then the break quick too and tap the clutch till it maintains this is the way I got it but for some cars it differs ngl
Question how can I disable traction control completely? I’ve disabled it on my settings but on some cars the TCS still lights up whenever I try to break traction
Bro , i just instaled the game and in the begining i can make colisions with other players but now i can't make collisions with them ... you know why ? when im in front of them they became ghosts like ... you know why ?
The corvette i got it to work by letting the car stall hold the gas and e brake tap the e break to stall it will it rev near 4k rpm then hold the clutch
@@Maddiedoggie I figured it out, I play on Xbox one x and I have to use a default control setting for that toggle to appear. Any of the 16 different default control settings will work but if you use a custom controller profile control setting, then a lot of toggles in advanced controls disappear.
If you double tap again after getting to max boost on slight occasion it will slowly climb towards max rpm and make for some nasty power wheelies in the hoonigan bel air
I used to be able to do launch control everytime perfectly now it won’t let me even after watching those videos on to do it correctly When the game first came out I was even able to two step the cars by going break gas then spamming the clutch now even that didn’t work
@@ApselicityGaming i just hopped on fh4 and did it perfectly holding my revs at 4000 rpm so Ik I can still do it on fh5 it just won’t let me go above 2k would love to see a updated video
On my Xbox controller settings I got clutch/shift with A Button. Shift down with LB button and Shift up with RB button. It’s easy and reminds me of a newer car in real life as they got the shift up/ down paddle on the steering wheel. Believe or not Forza Horizon is an amazing game due to the fact you can learn a lot from it.
I can't seem to be able to do it. I'm doing the following: 1) Accelerate+Brake at the same time. 2) Let go of Brake and apply handbrake while still Accelerating. Here is where I run into the problem: 3) Tap the clutch once to get it to rev then again to hold it at a specific RPM. When I tap the clutch once the RPM goes up but when I tap it again, it doesn't hold it there, the RPM keeps going and red lines. Am I supposed to be holding Accelrate the whole time?
Yes holding and accelerating the whole time. Also could try coming to a rolling complete stop. Gas + Brake, it will jump past 2k, then hood the clutch in when it comes down to around 3-4k rpm’s and it should pause there. But continuing to hold everything at the same time.
@@ApselicityGaming Was working fine with me for last couple weeks, all of a sudden today I can't get the car to do it. Whatever I do it just goes into the low rpm launch control mode I even checked all my settings to make sure nothing is wrong but no luck. I don't know what the heck is wrong with the game right now
A proper tune would help with spinning. I’ve got a few cars now that launch great at 4k rpm’s and don’t spin. At the time of the video the game was like just out and I didn’t have much done
@@ApselicityGaming you are right, but it's still ain't right. But in order to do that you'll need to have drag tires and a tune like you said, factory stock cars can launch with full throttle and no wheels spin due to traction control working from 0 mph, in the game I've realised that TC works above 40mph which kind of defeats the purpose. I would love a better implementation of launch control. What we've got is laughable
@@axl_fm oh well since I was 10 years old playing GT3 I was told you can't have a proper experience driving with keyboard. I never implied you had to be a sim racer enthusiast to understand why that is the case.
U can do it with paddles as well in manual without clutch. I have a wheel and peddles so I just use the paddles in manual to do launch control and always get full boost
@@SumRandomGi81 I dont use simulation or any assists on my wheel. Everything is in its normal mode. that might effect your launch with paddles but it really shouldnt lol
@@SumRandomGi81 just come to a complete stop, go in reverse and back to first using down shift and up shift with paddles, then floor the throttle while braking and launch control will activate
