Learn how to use Lulu’s Order Import tool to fulfill multiple book orders simultaneously. The Order Import tool is perfect for fulfilling preorders, a crowdfunding campaign, or shipping books to new students or clients.
When you use the Order Import tool, you can place multiple orders for your print-on-demand books and ship them to customers worldwide.

Channel_Order_ID - This is a unique Order ID provided by the platform where the order originated. If you have manually collected orders (such as at an in-person event), you will need to create and add your own unique ID.
IMPORTANT: Each ID must be unique.
Channel_Item_ID - This is the identifier of the product the customer ordered. These IDs are part of the export process on platforms like Shopify, Kickstarter, etc. If you collect orders manually, you must create your own ID. You will use this identifier to map orders to your projects in the Mapping step of the import process, so it is important to understand which product each ID represents.
Lulu_Order_ID - A Lulu Order ID is assigned to each order after completing the order import process. The column should be left blank in the template you prepare.
Contact_Email and Contact Phone Number - This refers to your customer's contact email. Shipping services may use this to let your customer know the item is being delivered.
Phone numbers are especially important, as couriers sometimes need to contact the recipient for help delivering your book.
Shipping Address Fields - Each line for the shipping address information has a character limit of 30. Any order with a PO Box address must use Mail or Priority Mail shipping. In the shipping country field, only use standardized 2-digit country codes.
Note: All fields on the import template are required except street2, state, and organization. The state field is only required when the shipping destination requires a state for address validation.
