here’s a producer vlog that demonstrates my use of maschine in logic pro: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1-DDotqpIqE.htmlsi=vookUVio3CHLiH0K
Wow, 2 years ago I had the machine micro, I got rid of it but still had the software. I've been on Ableton for the last couple of years, but I feel it's time to relearn machine. I don't have the hardware yet, but I'm getting my head wrapped around the software. You did a good job of expalining it. And yes, you earned a sub!!!
Thanks to you i FiNALLY know how to use maschine, have had it for 3 years, never really pushed through, sometimes made a loop but that was it. Now i can really start damn its not even that complicated lol. Thank you G!!!!!!!
That was magic, i have really struggled to get my head round the Maschine software's way of doing thi gs. This has helped a lot. Got a new subscriber my friend.
thank you for tuning in! glad u find this tutorial really helpful - i tried my best to break it down in simpler logic. and still learning the deeper parts of the software as well. if you have any questions on maschine feel free to shoot here too and i might just help you and the rest out with another maschine vid on that 😁🫶 and thank u very much for subscribing!!!
it is actually similar to ableton clips for arrangement. but i guess its true that when u at least use it as a drum sequencer in most of your projects, you’ll get the hang of it and prolly get better at using some of its “hidden functions” - btw thank u for watching!
Just subbed. Getting back into electronic music as going through divorce so cant have my guitars and amps set up. Dug out my Mikro mk3. Love your channel so far. Doing good stuff man. Any tips on Prodigy style beats? Would love some stuff on that. Been digging in to Dark Techno so after that acid style synth soaked beats.
hey man! thanks for checking out my channel and subbing! ive never made any prodigy type beats - more to wave jungle hardwave and ambient. but tbh its really a melting pot of genres whenever i feel like producing something. if there’s anything experimental, i hope my channelcan provide more value on this! thanks again for trusting my work and love from singapore!
Thank you for a great quick introduction video. Straight to the point and well presented. Can you please do a quick introduction on sampling in the masculine software. Thanks again. 100% fireeeeeee
thanks for the content idea. will do so hopefully in the videos to come. maschine has one of the best sampling features imo. let me plan and think of an episode! thanks for supporting!
thank you for explaining this. im brand new to it and its confusing as all heck. you talk a bit fast and click around too fast but thats why we have the option to slow down videos lol. man i am not excited to integrate another daw into this. im having a blast with the mashine mikro tho! maybe you have a video on how to also connect a VESTAX vcm-600 into the program? thx again
haha i apologize for being a lil too fast as there were alot to cover! ill try my best to be more efficient in the next few videos - nvrtheless thank u for watching! and i hear you, i am currently exploring how to connect the sp404 seamlessly to this and im sure it’ll be similar for the vcm-600. it’s mainly custom midi mapping using either komplete kontrol or the kontrol editor but i gota do more research on it. thanks for tuning in and for the kind words too!
its all good! i was once in your shoes and figured i have to give the basics back to future users - maschine will get easier to use when u utilize it more often. happy practicing and thank u for watching! 🫶😁
hey thanks for watching! glad i could help in some way. regarding your question, yes you can do that by doing 2 options: 1 - add all 4 drums in one sound slot of a group by using the zone settings in the sampler (wave form icon on the left and then zone). below u then can adjust each sample’s tune. 2 - adding 4 kicks into each sound slot of the group and and each sound slot you can go to tuning on their sampler module and tune them individually. then when u click the grid icon above the sound slot, there’s this link option. set all the sounds to link 1. that way when one sound slot is played, the rest is going to be played too as they are linked on channel 1. if you have further questions feel free to dm on ig @vibesynthetic and hope to connect with you there!
Is it possible to change the order on the screen of sounds? So 1 is on the bottom and 16 is on the top? I like to work with kick drum on the bottom since it is the foundation and build upwards.
hey thanks for the question! yes its possible! all u need to do is map out the audio destination under each sound to the corresponding ext. outputs. so if the last sound slot is your first sound, you can route it to ext.1 all the way to ext. 16 for your first sound slot in maschine. then on the logic timeline u can move the tracks up to correspond to your workflow.
Just stumbled across your video which I will try to watch later this week. I bought maschine, battery and a bunch of expansions last year and never use them. It was too steep of a learning curve and I find the software interfaces to be terrible making what should be simple tasks complicated. But the worst part for me is the fact that none of these expansions are key labeled or key labeled properly so it's up to me to try to figure out - usually by converting to wav files to midi and analyzing in my own crude way. If I'm working in a song in E minor and I want to add something from an expansion it's hopeless. Any suggestions? I'm obviously a novice, but why does NI have to make it so difficult? What makes matters worse is that I use reaper which makes using komplete Kontrol almost impossible.
thank you for checking out my video man (if you already have 😁) well tbh - native instruments is trying to be the apple of the new age musical instruments. best to learn maschine directly and try producing within the box. and i have to agree that they are slow when it comes to daw integration which only makes sense for them right now to integrate smoothly with major daws like ableton, pro tools and logic. komplete kontrol has a list of native kontrol standards so its best to work with the daw brands that gel better with it. my suggestion would be get familiar with maschine first as that’s their main flagship “daw” (which still has tonnes for improvement). for battery i would say it’ll be good to understand how maschine works with the individual sound modules first because battery is just the next level sequencer for maschine. maybe check out this video first and play around with maschine often. once u get the hang of it slowly use your other expansions :)
"your own songs, or even your own beats".. ? Nice opener 😂. Edit*. . and you said it again. I wonder if you know that beats come with a song and not the other way round ? I know... I'm a silly old man whom cares. As you were producer.
@VibeSynthetic I did. The reason is that I'm trying to learn the Maschine Software without Maschine hardware. I have an S49Mk2 keyboard, and I'm trying to learn. Your video has been of great help! Thank you so much! I hope you do more videos like this!
I tried to simplify the process of starting out with Maschine and happy to know its easy to absorb 😃 really appreciate for the support too. if you’re interested, i have another video for Maschine’s export functions which can help you further to collaborate with others and mix with other daws here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Qo4NP3aDKw.html Have fun in Maschine!
