Sali, really appreciate you doing this video even though I'm at a uni in South Korea, not the USA. Our uni has not yet done a tutorial video for profs on our LMS that uses Moodle, but I sure wish they would. I might end up doing one like you. Please note your sequencing in Info section below video is off starting here: "00:49 Configuring regular assignments in a course in Moodle". Next, I notice "01:18:00 Taking Attendance in Moodle" is not accurate. Would you please make them accurate? Most after my first quote here are inaccurate. Thanks!

Dear Professor! Thank you very much for the simple way you explain how to use this platform. I've got a problem with one of the sections and hope you can help. When I want to grade a student's assignment, I can't see the preview. Similarly, when I download it and work on Word and then upload the file, it doesn't appear and neither I, nor the student can see it (even though at first sight it seems to have been attached). Did I get any of the settings wrong? I'd be most grateful if you could help!

Most people are new to Moodle but most of the few online RU-vid videos always start from The teacher adding courses. I paid and installed Moodle 3.8 few days ago only to find out that the installer is for 3.7.3. I have been trying to find out how to upgrade to version 3.8. All that is available are clumsy patches of information. WHY CAN'T Moodle upgrade be straight forward like any other Application. At some time in future, will all instances of Moodle installs be automatically upgraded to 3.8?

The theme is called Moove and we did some additional customizations. Hope this helps. Another good theme is Edwiser RemUI. I have a video for that too.

when i select simple weighted mean of grades, there is no "weight" category?

The weight for the categories shows up only after selecting “weighted mean of grades” at the course level. That is why it does not show up.

I'm trying to setup my gradebook but i don't have the weights column, so i cannot assign weights to different items. I did make them simple weighted mean. This tutorial i found here: discover.trinitydc.edu/moodle/2020/09/04/how-do-i-add-weights-to-my-gradebook/ ... says the opposite of you. I need to go with weighted mean so i can allocate weights!!??

The theme is called Moove. The navbar options are set in Theme Settings in the Administration area.

Great question. Turn editing on in the course. Then click on Edit next to the item you want to duplicate and then select Duplicate from the dropdown options.

Hello sir, may I ask if there is a specific core processor that we need to use so that moodle works properly? Our school requires us to have an i5 or i7 core processor as well as an internet speed not less than 50 mbps.

The client systems do not really need that kind of processing speed. Most likely the site is slow to start with. All it is is accessing a bunch of web pages.

Is it possible to create question bank and randomly generate quizes in moodle?

Yes you can do that. You can have all the questions in a question bank. Then add a quiz item on the course page. Then when adding the questions click on add and choose the random option and then select how many questions you want per quiz. Obviously, the number of questions you add to the quiz needs to be less than the total number of questions in your test bank.

Assuming you are referring about editing the items in the gradebook, you can simply go to grades and then simply type the new grade for that activity. This is not the best way to update the grades but it will work.

I do not think Moodle will do the recording. However, you could use the Zoom recording and post it in Moodle.

The activity chooser is the primary change, then improvements in HP5 which we are not using yet, some improvements to the Book activity and some other stuff: docs.moodle.org/39/en/New_features
