For those who want to genuinely try this for SOME reason, and also dont have 200 hours to try and perfect a single line- >Paint bucket tool is useless with the paintbrushes. Don't use the paintbrushes unless you wanna treat it like a traditional piece and wanna put in every stroke. Use pencil tool! >Your best friends are Line tool, and Curve tool. It can make your shaky lines look CRISP. >You can mimic layers in one of three ways. Colour 2 is what the "background" colour is-you can replace or draw inside any section that is only colour 1 using the eraser tool. Or, you can copy the entire canvas, draw whatever you need on the area that is colour 2 without worrying about going over the edge, then paste it back. The rest of your drawing, assuming you didn't use colour 2 anywhere else on your pic, will cover up any overlap. You can use this as a way to replace large amounts of colours without having to go fillbucket everything-copy everything, delete everything (which should fill the entire page as colour 2), change colour 2 to whatever colour 1 is/what you want, then paste it back. YOU MUST ENSURE TRANSPARENT SELECTION IS ON WHEN DOING THIS. You turn it on by clicking the drop down tab beneath "select". Transparent selection works via whatever is colour 2. >You can do an under sketch underneath, or trace a pic on top by manipulating the black and white option mspaint inexplicably has. No, dont use that option to draw. It can, and WILL, crash your computer. Essentially, paste or draw your undersketch in grey, green, red, anything that ISNT black. If your reference pic has any part that is pure 100% black, get rid of it. Then, draw what you want to keep in black. Ctrl A, right click, invert colour. Then Ctrl E, select black and white, ignore the warning, and bingo! It'll get rid of any part that wasn't pure white. Swap back to colour mode, revert your colours back to normal. Do this as many times as you want, babyy >I lied theres a third way to mimic layers. Draw what you want, break it up into different colour groups (aka what you want each layer to be), then save a copy of the drawing for each and every "layer". Use tip 4 to isolate each specific colour group, draw and render in everything, then open a completely blank new instance of mspaint. Copy paste everything you've drawn IN ORDER from lowest layer to highest, and make sure your selection is transparent and your colour 2 whatever the background colour is on your layers. MS piant tips i've learned 20 years after the fact: using + and - on the number pad can make the pencils and eraser bigger/smaller than the preset options allow, also if u draw a line in the first color in the first box, put a diff color in the second box, select the eraser and move over the line while u right click it will change the color. there's also a way to make gradients but its a bit tricky.
The paint bucket tool is not the problem. It's the marker tool. The marker will make whatever colour your using fade out on the edges, and it makes the colour part way between the one you've picked and the white background, which makes it so that when you fill, there's a half white half whatever colour line in between the filled in colour and the lines. The pencil tool doesn't have this fade out thing, so the fill works fine with it.
Sketch with a grey color (ONLY WORKS WITH GREY SKETCHING), then outline with black, go to the file, properties, then click black and white, it should show your lineart only, then finally change it back to non black and white, then there, you get solid lineart in ms paint your welcome 😉

tips from someone who only uses mspaint: the brushes and the fill tool don't mix (just use pencil on max size, will save you lots of time) alot of people don't know this, but paint (kinda) supports transperancy: ( step 1: choose a color that you won't use in your art, and make everything you want transparent into that color step 2: click the little arrow under select and check "transparant selection" step 3: click the "color 2", another awesome tool that is rarely used step 4: click your chosen transparancy color step 5: click back to color 1 ) you can draw with color 2 if you use right click instead of left click if you click the view tab, you can enable a grid and/or a ruler (also status bar is the little bar at the bottom with resolution and stuff) those arrows under text are actually useful (the names are self-explanatory) common keyboard shortcuts work (ctrl+z, ctrl+y, ctrl+a are ones i use often)
I used to use filmota the free version has a huge watermark (used to be even bigger on filmora 6 (the latest version I used)) and most of the features and more already exist in other completely free editing software unless you plan to buy the full version filmora isn't worth it its a good program but due to the basic features and vary limited transitions and effects that come with the trial version should not have a watermark or atleast have a small semi transparent watermark on the bottom left or right corner like other free editing softwares *thanks for coming to my tedtalk*
The reason the paint bucket tool didn’t leave white pixels is because of anti aliasing, because anti aliasing in MS paint can’t be turned off. Here’s an explanation of anti aliasing: anti aliasing exist to stop thing from looking to pixelated so it takes the average of the white and the lines color, it will still show up when using the paint bucket tool. Peter erased most of the linework edges meaning it look as if there were no anti aliasing.
Peter you should make a video on "Kid Pix" it's kinda like paint but, you can add music, different stickers, sometimes add little animations. And there's the iconic undo button.
I was honestly shocked when he whipped out the exact same wacom i have, had to look at mine for a second to not think that im hallucinating. I even have a white one like him omg, i can't even find these being sold anymore. The model is a Wacom intuos CTL-490 which Patter used.
