Thanks, Mariah, for making this video. I just bought my GiGi waxing kit and your tutorial has given me confidence to wax for my first time ever. Like you, I am looking to save money. Your honest commentary is truly appreciated.
Thank you so much! I just got my kit for Christmas and didn’t know what to do, had some skin come off but I kinda expected that for my first time. Without this tutorial I would’ve been lost 😂!
My mom is sensitive skin and for some reason I can’t wax her with the GiGi wax kit, I also have to do hair strips for her and even sometimes skin comes off on her :/
I literally got my wax kit in June or July and I haven’t even touched it. I unboxed it and that was it. Thank you so much for making this video because I was just so scared to use it because I didn’t know how but I feel way more knowledgeable now that I’ve seen your video so thank you so much
No problem! I try to give as many tips as I could as I have messed up my eyebrows or have taken skin off while waxing 😂 trying to help people not do that! I wish you luck!❤
this was one of the best videos, I'm learning how to do my own waxing also. I had a friend use the Silcom wax on my chin and it work wonderful (GiGi Hard Wax Beads)
Was the wax warmed up enough to go on smooth? If you don’t like the wax heat up enough then that can make is really thick/sticky! I test the wax on my wrist to make sure the wax isn’t too hot and that is goes on smooth. Another factor could be you put too much wax on when you only need a very thin layer! If you put too much wax, that will also make it very sticky and won’t wax properly or maybe not even at all. I hope that helps?
Hi, so do you still use the My Gigi Waxing Kit? I am thinking of buying it. I'm so sick of dealing with an esthetician. Either they don't do this or don't do that, and they have become so expensive.
Yes! I still use mine! It’s been 2-3 years now that I’ve had it, and I love that I’m able to use it whenever I want/need to. I’m also trying other waxes/brands too! It can be a littler scary starting to wax at home but the more you do it, the more easier it will be! And other creators make tutorials on how to outline your eyebrow so you can pluck/wax it the way you want!
@@mariahjaramillo Hi, thank you for replying. I had tried many times over the years with different waxes but just could never get it right. Have you heard of the hard wax? They actually sell it on Amazon. There is an uploader who is an esthetician who just the difference between soft wax and hard wax and that she says that the hard wax is less painful and works better. I did but it a few years ago but because I am a diabetic I sent it back. However, ZI found out that waxing isn't good for diabetics anyways, so now I'm just trying to figure out which one is better for me.
Sorry I’m getting back so late, but yes! I want to try hard wax but haven’t yet! I’m looking into it! I didn’t know waxing wasn’t good for diabetics! My dad is a diabetic and he needs to take insulin. It sucks. But for me, my gigi wax and wax machine has been my favorite so far! My mom uses bait strips! I’m not sure if you’ve heard of those but you warm them up with your hands then put them on. I don’t like them because they don’t wax my lips good. Leaves me with lots of hair left but works perfect for my mom! She has sensitive skin!
@@mariahjaramillo Hi, ya, I tried those strips and they suck. I have too much hair and so they don't work for me and if you don't get them warm enough in your hand then it's a pain getting it off. I ended up returning he kit. It just wasn't for me. It's just too hard for me and I end up hurting myself with it so I returned it. I have to look into that blue hard wax, find someone else, or I may just end up shaving which I really don't want to do. I don't mean those razors cause I tried those and they don't work on me, I mean an actual razor or even an electric razor :(
Oh no I’m sorry!😣 I know I have tried microwave wax? I made a video on it. It was made for sensitive skin! But I also want to try hard wax and see how that works! I hope you find something that works for you instead of shaving 😔
