Anyway, after getting stuck twice with a dead battery, no power at all, I bypassed the safety crap that keeps noobs from shorting themselves out and it works like a charm now. I love the thing.

As I'm doing so he says "No I got the jumper cables already". My response: "Why the fuck would I need those?? It's 2022. You're telling me you need 2 cars to start 1???" The look on his face was hilarious but not as good as after I started his car in less than 2 mins! One of the best purchases I've ever made for sure!!

@@MarinosMysteries Me too, def more than worth the price. The price of one tow/jump costs more than this does. And I only charge it like every 6 months. Not because it needs it, but for my sanity's sake!

The orders are fulfilled by Amazon so it’s likely a mistake on Amazons end. Just got mine and it was brand new with no problems. I’m sure they’ll send you a new replacement.

I agree with the previous reply. It was likely not on purpose. Working for Amazon I've accidentally crushed a few boxes myself. It happens but that's why their return policy is top tier

Amazon has lost so much reputation since Bezos left almost a year ago. They hide negative reviews and the customer is just not treated the way they used to be. I hear these kinds of stories a lot all of a sudden within the past 6 months.

so with this device theres built in safeties so i could touch the 2 leads from jump starter together and nothing bad will happen. also note you dont have to remember "red to red then black to black" with this you can attach the negative (black) first THEN the positive (red) without any negative consequences

Good question. So you can disconnect it immediately after car starts. Once the power surge has gone to the battery (via turning ignition with this connected), it will start beeping to let u know it tried

Yes after being idle for a while itll lose charge as all electronic devices do. Every month or so make sure to take it in hiuse and charge it a bit. Also very hot or cold temps add to this and can kill it like with mine. Oh and keep out of sunlight if possible. Best is prob glove box

So it functions as a power bank as well if i remember right. Ill try to remember to upload link or create video on my new one. This one died after years of service but new one is even better. These units typical just stop charging entirely so if bought on Amazon etc its worth paying a few extra bucks for a 3-4 yr warranty.

Good question if I understand correctly. You're asking if instead of doing a USB-C to a 2 prong adapter, if it's possible to hook up a 3 prong to USB-C correct? If so then I've never seen an AC adapter like that so likely not, although it is 2023 and with things how they are I'm sure somewhere on earth it exists and wouldn't surprise me, but it wouldn't be the intended way of charging it and therefore I wouldn't recommend it.

Happened to me before. Ensure its 1. Fully charged 2. The clips are clamped tightly enough on the terminals and 3. The battery leads themselves are tightened around the terminals. Had to jump my car every start and would die when driving. Bought new alternator. Tightened leads onto negative terminal. Worked. Returned alternator.

Good question. I don't remember the exact time but it's something you plug in before u go to bed and unplug to throw in trunk before work the next day. Hope that info helps

@@leautomotive2809 how do you charge it? I have had it charging and no lights come on or indicate its actually charging up. Does it have to be in the "on" position to charge?

It takes forever to charge but just plug a USB-C into it and let is sit for a few hours, if still no lights it may be defective

There should be 1 or 2 USB-A slots on top and a USB-C (or maybe micro USB?) on the side of device that says "in/out". USB-C (most cell phones nowadays) is the port that charges it

Huh? No sir, it's not a trickle charger, no need to wait 30 mins, only until the indicator light turns solid green.

What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

@@leautomotive2809 I got it going ty. It turns off very quickly the green light showing it is ready to start over. I have to put it on my battery, then rush to turn the key and start my vehicle , if I wait even like 10-15 seconds the green light will go off and it won’t jump it. They should really have a longer timer My battery is dead every single day, and this works wonders just fyi to anyone wondering! I have a BAID and I think they wired it wrong… drains my battery dead every single day. I even have a new battery, and had my new battery tested, still drains to dead when the car sits even 1-2 hours turned off. So I use this nexpow jumper every single time to start my vehicle multiple times a day 😂🤷🏻‍♂️🙌🏻

You're most welcome, thanks for the reply! So I'm no expert but from what you said I would suggest a few things. 1. Get your alternator checked. If battery needs to be jumped daily then a shot alternator would be the culprit behind the battery not charging up enough, whether it's a new battery or not. My only hesitation here is... logically speaking, if the alternator was shot you would have to jump the car every single time, so if you let it sit for like 10 mins and can still start it, I revoke this entire suggestion of the alternator being the root cause. 2. Who wired your BAID? If this only happened after they installed it I'd say you definitely need to hold their ass accountable for the inconvenience and safety risks. What if you got stranded in the middle of nowhere and your car wouldn't start because some dumbass wired your BAID wrong? That's on them and I'm all about accountability so do what you can. Also, mine finally died so bought similar one and all is well. But my NexPow lasted how long? And jumped how many cars? And most importantly provided me with a sound piece of mind for how many trips in my hoopdi?? Def worth the money in my eyes!
