This is a wonderful, very helpful video. Thank you. I will finally go to my local crystal shop and choose some obsidian because I know I need it in my life right now. Actually, I could have used it since five years ago. Had I known its benefits.

I love what obsidian does and can find no other crystal that works for me the way it does. However, very often, when it shows me what shadows I haven't dealt with yet, it's emotionally overwhelming. Fear, sadness, etc. is just too much. I don't want to limit its use in my life, but I wonder if pairing it with another crystal might help. It's like shadows finally come to the surface but they "hang out" and don't become healed and integrated (I do many practices to heal and integrate shadows already.) Because black obsidian is so grounding, I'd think the shadows would have a way out. I have tried pacing, just barely touching it now and then, but that doesn't allow it to work for me. So using it for a longer spell then causes the same issue described above. I have tried using it with rose quartz, but as gorgeous as rose quartz is, I've never felt it to have noticeable benefits. I've been trying to work with obsidian for several years, so this is nothing new.

Have you ever tried rainbow obsidian? It helps you see those dark shadows in different ways🫶 I have a piece with green and purple rings, it gives me such a level of comfort 🥰

While all different types of Obsidian have their own unique supportive benefits - they will all work for severance 🙏🙏

To me Silver sheen Obsidian is more of a gentle energy as it reminds me a stary night and brings hope, where as Gold Sheen obsidian gives me an inner fire and more positive energy and healing, but all types of obsidian are excellent for severance and cutting the cord of what does not serve you. Me personally I prefer just black Obsidian, especially if I’m feeling dark and it softens the blow for me and I don’t feel as dark as if it’s a reflection of my shadow side finally expressing itself without denying the shadow, I personally suggest it but if you want that aura restoration like you would get with rainbow moonstone then use rainbow obsidian since it kind of works like both rainbow moonstone and black obsidian
