I know this video is old but I finally just bought one of these and I love it. It's so awesome for fussy cutting circles with a motif directly in the center of the circle.
I just bought one of these magic little tools and love it. However, changing the blade with virtually no instructions on the package was very frustrating. Then … THEN I lucked into your video and all became clear. OLFA should post your video on their website. Thanks for a quick, clear demo!
Thanks for doing this video. I have started to buy this several times but was afraid of spending the money for something that I didn't know anything about.
Thank you Sue. I have been looking for just such a notion. After watching your video I not only purchased one but have a tutorial easy to access to learn all of it's features.
Hi There great vid. Just wondering how you manage to keep the pivot spike from moving or losing it's place on the material being cut. For me, it seems to 'jump' instead of staying put. Any suggestions?
Good question. I’m not sure since I haven’t tried it but you might reach out directly to Olfa on social media and ask them just to be in the safe side.
This tool might work on fabric but it doesn't make clean cuts on paper. I've worked with this tool now for an hour and wasted two sheets of watercolor paper which isn't cheap. The cutter doesn't cut every area and it certainly doesn't cut clean. I am trying to cut circle stencils and I need the inside circle to be clean. Not happening with this tool.
Sorry you're having a time with it. It's a neat tool but there definitely takes some practice. I made this video some time ago and I don't use it that often but when I do I even have to practice on 3-4 pieces to get it right. Keep at it :)
@@SookieSews Hi. I wasn't expressing any anger toward you. Your video is very informative and I saved it. I will need to practice with this tool but I have a feeling there isn't ANY tool other than a plotter that can cut clean circles. Thanks for replying to me and I hope you stay safe and healthy. :))
@@sandrajohnson2489 You too! It's it great we can find fellow creatives online during this uncertain time. Please consider subscribing to my channel if you like to see things before you buy. I try to do new notion reviews at least once a month along with project videos.
Definitely the wrong choice for paper. The wheel has to scrub to go in circles (like a tire on the back of a car). The better option is the fixed blade version.
