2.Select Shape: Choose the appropriate shape (circular or oval) on the ostomy ruler that matches your stoma.
3.Measure Stoma: Place the ruler's cut-out or hole over the stoma without touching it directly. Find the size that fits snugly around the stoma.
4.Record Size: Note the measurement for accurate future use.
5.Cut Wafer/Pouch: Use the recorded size to cut the opening in the wafer or pouch slightly larger than the stoma.
6.Apply Appliance: Attach the wafer or pouch securely around the stoma, following the manufacturer's instructions.
