A VPN only blocks your IP address? I’m not tech savvy so I get confused with this stuff. Does VPN block people from seeing what websites I use or apps I use?
I have never used the VPN before so I'm curious to know if you could answer this one question for me, for one what is the file size of this VPN? I only have 51 gigabytes left in my internal. And if it is possible can I install it so it works on an external?
Very good basic video for dummies like me :) I have a couple questions here ? 1) I understand the free version of Proton is not good for "streaming" as it's too slow ? is this correct ? I'd like to hide my location so I can stream sports events here in Canada, and my country is blocked from doing this. Will this work for me ? 2) I read somewhere else that is your ( ISP) has provided you with a router, which mine has, that router will not work for a VPN ? Is this true ? If it is true, does that mean, I'd have to get a new router that will allow me to have a VPN ? I'd very much enjoyed your Video, and would very much like you to answer my questions -- thanks a lot :)
Hello, I answer your questions: 1- the free version does not allow you to stream. It is the premium version that has specialized servers optimized for streaming. 2- You can use ProtonVPN on most routers through manual configurations that you will find in your user panel or in frequently asked questions in the doubts and comments section on the Proton website. I hope my answer has been useful to you.
Can you do a guide on how to use proteon VPN with windows 7 home, to connect an Xbox360 to the pc's alternative RJ45 port to allow my xbox360 to download USA games from London? Thanks I'm fed up with all this beaurocratic bs preventing me from doing what I want and what games I can and cannot buy all because of some bs policy Microsoft and or governments have.
This video is updated 2024. The latest update of PROTON VPN has included more servers and more countries, it now has 249 servers and 5 countries: United States, Japan, Netherlands, Poland and Romania. BUT they eliminated the manual selection of countries, now it is automatic, once you connect in: “Quick Connection” just below there is a button to change location to one of these 5 free countries, but it is random.
This usually happens when you have the Kill switch activated in the “permanent” option. With this option activated, the internet will only work when you activate the VPN. It is a security feature that all good VPNs have, but you can, as I show in the video, set it to only when the VPN is used or disable it.
how do i change server if i want a specific one for example: it always connects to netherlands but what if u want to connect to united states.? please some one help
You can use it on any device, in fact, I have used the VPN on my PC and Android at the same time, and it works perfectly, there are no restrictions on device use, at least so far.
