How to Use & Remove Android FRP (Factory Reset Protection) 

I dont see how anyone found this helpful. He did nothing, but following the instructions the phone already gave.

I just recently bought a used Tablet from Goodwill for $25 and the Android OS was locked behind a PIN....I factory reset it using the buttons and I am now stuck at the setup screen with no way forwards. Thank you for the video. Very informative and concise....and although it confirmed what I already suspected, It was still welcome info.

Let me get this straight here ... If I am locked out of my phone, I simply need to go to the settings inside my phone that I'm locked out of, select General Management inside the phone that I am locked out of, select factory reset inside of the the phone I am locked out of, then select screen lock, which I don't have, reset that to none, all inside the phone that I am locked out of.... I think in your all's 8th dimension FRP stands for, "For Real People???"

At least one guy is honest out of 20 videos I've watched. If you buy a used Samsung and don't know one Google account that has previously been entered into the cell or the pin number from the original owner, you may as well have torrn up the cash and tossed it in the garbage

this was so helpful, because of a stupid reason, my 8 year old cousin literally added password to his phone with a hint of "jajsjks" now he forgot the password and now he is begging me to fix it now it had a pattern and a account, this was your helpful

If I already knew the previous owner's sign on of the "open box" tablet I bought from Best Buy I would have used it. Instead I came to this video that was supposed to tell me how to get around that but doesn't.

I'm looking for a video that talks about factory reset protection which means I need a video that's going to help me protect my phone from being factory reset by thieves. And keeping them from removing my Google. Instead of teaching people how to get into people's phone, try teaching people how to protect their phones. It bothers some folks that you guys don't take it under consideration that there are people that like to steal people's phones and factory resetting them. FRP is just annoying. If you take a stolen phone to a back street phone shop they will remove FRP for 15 bucks.

Is this still a thing on Android 12? I mean, if you use the ordinary settings menu, it says it's removing all google accounts too. So is FRP just a thing on older devices?

I just can’t get past the inter original email/password prompt. At least my iPad mini 2 isn’t this much of a pain. Guess I just paid $46 for a brick...

I ask because you start by saying 'the one that was originally used when you got the phone" , then as an after thought you add " or other Gmail accounts that have been added to the phone." Hello, I have a Samsung galaxy Note5 at first i tried to clear cache using a program in my computer and when it restated in the upper left corner it appear Custom Binary Blocked By FRP Lock in red. then i tried to fix it using Odin3 and when it restarted first it show me the message of (an unauthorised attempt has been made to reset your device to factory default settings). and i connected to a WIFI to enter my google account i could enter because I do remember my account. but after i enter there were 2 problems, first where the signal bars suppose to be there is a symbol of Prohibition ( 🚫 ) and it says that there is no Sim card when it has one inside already i tied to take it out and put it back in restart my phone but nothing it still doesn't recognize my SIM card. (But when i factory reset it i left the SIM card in. Could it be that it corrupted the SIM's Chip, is that a possible thing to happen?). The other is that it says that the internal memory is 16GB when it is of 32GB. I tried to manually put the APN but when i hit Save. It said that the action was prohibit because current user profile is not authorized. Then i thought of the message that it first appear after i factory reset using Odin3. Maybe is still blocked and that's why it doesn't recognize the SIM card and the 16GB instead of 32GB of storage space. Do you think that if i factory reset using recovery mode directly on the phone, it will corrupt the system in any way because of the message of the (unauthorised attempt has been made.....) because this is my doubt. and the only solution i can find now is to Factory Reset the phone using Recovery Mode directly on the phone because i will not use a program again because that gave me this problem. Can you please give me an advise, i will gladly appreciated it. Thank You very much!!!

This information is useless. By the time the vast majority of users find out they have FRP enabled, and naturally have forgotten which Google account they used to log into the phone or tablet, they can't turn off FRP, and the phone or tablet is useless. The FRP system completely misunderstands the ability of ordinary device users.

Google should warn you about the lockout period before you factory reset. So many people have been locked out by changing their google password and then resetting after a security scare. Then they can't use their phone for 24 hours.

My google phone already has it. I just used OEM unlock on it since it is an unlocked Pixel phone. I decided to pay for full price so to benefit more freedom with software.

Even though I was given a free Samsung galaxy a3 2016 model phone The original owner just decided to give the phone to me because I knew the previous person that had it. Some backstory: The original owner forgot both the email and password used for the phone and it has resulted for the phone to go into a state of FRP (factory reset protection) and this meant that the previous owner made countless attempts to regain access to the phone but was unfortunately unsuccessful. This resulted in the owner to be really frustrated and thought to give the phone to someone who can put some time into it. And since then many months later I still have been making attempts and I will never back down I’ll keep trying

Im locked out of my own phone: forgot the lock screen pwd and lost my info on the gmail account I set up on the phone. I didn't enter any recovery info or a phone number. But I had always reset when I had issues, even just last year, and never heard anything about needing to know pwds when resetting. I reset my phone BECAUSE I forgot the pwd. Imagine my surprise when all I did was simply erase all my information and didn't know to reset google password before resetting phone :( No one told me nor did I get any notification on this. All this did in this case is lock out the original owner.

Traded in a pixel phone followed the instructions they sent in the box. Had no idea it was locked I followed their instructions to factory reset it. Now they send me an email instead of getting $380 back in a trade in I get $60 because it's a paper weight. They refuse to send it back to me so I can remove the account. Don't trade in a phone unless you make sure 100% there is no account associated with it. I'm not in favor of these schemes rather have it just factory reset and now the phone can used by anyone. People don't remember these account passwords.

Its not the only way you Can Remove the Frp with Odin.
