Please let us know if your plants will get more flowers once you used rice water as fertilizer. 😊 Thank you so much for watching the video and I'm glad that you find it informative. I really appreciate your comment. Happy Gardening my friend! 😊
Hello po... new subscriber here. I also use rice wash to make my own lactubacillus culture. The rest, dinidilig din po sa aking garden. Happy gardening!!!
Thank you so much for watching our "rice water as organic fertilizer" video. 😊 I'm interested to know more about lactobacillus culture, may I know how you do it and what are its effects on plants? Happy Gardening! 😊
I've been hearing a lot of people saying that rice water (hugas-bigas) is a good fertilizer but they didn't say why. This video explains all my questiona on why the rice water (hugas bigas) is a good organic fertilizer plus you also mentioned some caveats in using it so people are aware. The actual experiment is also good to prove your point. This video is highly recommended and should be watched by people who loves gardening. Thanks again for an informative video about organic gardening/farming.
Thank you so much for supporting our gardening channel and for watching the rice water (hugas-bigas) as organic fertilizer video. I'm really glad that you learned a lot from it. 😊
Hi Mary, we haven't tried to spray the rice water ( hugas bigas ) directly to the plant leaves. What we usually do is to water the plants with rice water (hugas bigas) directly to the soil so the plants can absorb the nutrients. I'm not sure if it will be as effective if you just sprayed it to the plant leaves because the soil will most probably not get as much rice water compared to when you pour it. Thank you for watching our gardening video on how to use rice water or hugas bigas as a fertilizer to plants 😊
@@PlantLoversDiary oh ok, i tried it today to my hanging plants those who have roots on their buds i thought its ok to spray nway maybe i will wash it with plain water the next day...
@@maryhearty197 no worries. I think it's okay, I'm just not sure of the effectivity of rice water when sprayed if it is the same when you pour it to the soil directly. Since your hanging plant has roots on their buds I can understand why you prefer to spray the rice water.
Thank you so much po for watching our gardening video about "rice water (hugas-bigas) as an organic fertilizer". Please let us know po kung ano yung mangyayari sa plants niyo once na tinry niyo na gamitin yung rice water (hugas-bigas) if magkakaroon na ng flowers yung tomatoes niyo 😊
Great video. My question is,pwede bang ipunin ang rice water? Like ilagay siya sa isang bote? Or need na fresh na bagong hugas lang ang gamitin? Thanks in advance.
I think you make everything looks so difficult when it is very easy ...just take the rice water put on the plant and see the result as simple as that. Making lengthy videos with unnecessary info is waste of time...just my 2 cents
Thank you so much for your suggestion! Will keep that in mind and try to shorten my videos as much as possible. 😊 Just thought that as a viewer, I would like to know what's in the rice water and why it can be used an organic fertilizer and the caveats of using it plus the actual result so I'm not just blindly following what's in the video. I really appreciate your suggestion. Feel free to give your feedback to my other gardening videos. Thank you! 😊
@@donnathompson9828 Thank you for your comment and for watching our rice water (hugas-bigas) video! Happy Gardening and hope you continue to support the channel. 😊
Hi @rhizkie, it is possible, that's why you should observe the soil/plant once you decide to use rice water for longer period of time. I also mentioned this at the last part of the video so people will be aware of the possible risks. However, based on my experience and those people that used this organic fertilizer I haven't heard or seen any complaints yet regarding ants in the soil. Thank you so much for watching our video and for your question. 😊 Please let me know if you have other questions. 😊
Yes, if you are not cooking rice everyday this is not convenient to do 😁 Asians will mostly benefit from this since we are cooking/eating rice everyday 😁 Thank you watching this and for dropping by at my gardening channel. Appreciate it a lot my friend 😊
I also use organic fertilizer for my plants and water my orchids with rice water. I no longer use chemical fertilizer for my orchids. Rice water makes my orchids grow good and healthy. My orchids bloom every year. Rice water has a lot of nutrients such as P which is a boost for flowering😍
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Rice water! 😊 Hope you can share more of your gardening experiences in our other videos. Thanks again and Happy Gardening! 😊
It's not a very well executed experiment but you can narrow some hypotheses. A proper experiment would have a control specimen so one plant is watered with regular water and the other with rice water. Flowers don't necessarily mean the plant is healthy. A plant can be fruiting but all the foliage is gone. It seems you used tap water instead of distilled or filtered water. Tap water may contain dissolved components that could cause the change in your specimen plant and not the rice water. Anyways, I'm familiar with your plant specimen which from my experience is easy to grow even without rice water or fertilizer. Plant care involves a lot of factors from soil, water, sunlight, pH, humidity, etc. so there's a lot of external factors to control when doing experiments. I hope this doesn't discourage you but enlighten you and encourage you to do more tests before coming up with conclusions that can misinform or misguide your viewers. Best of luck!
Nope, this does not discourage us at all. 😊 Everyone is entitled to their own opinion/belief and comments whether good or bad are welcome especially if it is constructive. The reality is you cannot please everybody and people will try to find fault in everything you do. 😊 Regarding your comment, this video is only a personal experiment and not in anyway a scientific research that will require us to do it in a controlled environment. We can definitely do the experiment the "correct" way as what science class in school teaches us but there are already other detailed researches on the internet that does that so I will not repeat what they have already done instead I will try it myself to see if it was true or not. I also think that majority of my viewers will not appreciate if I made this video look like a complex science experiment as our channel is a gardening channel that shows our gardening experiences. All the conclusions I made in rice water are solely based on my experience as what I mentioned in all my videos. It is in the discretion of the viewers if they will follow it or not. We are only sharing the gardening experiences that we had. Appreciate your comment! 😊
