Hi James, thanks for watching. If you use both pins for direction and distance photopills will show you the field of view for any particular camera/lens combination.

@@AstroForumSpace well, I think the Android and IOS layout is different. Thus, some of the stuff you are doing isn't even on the IOS version. For example, in your video once you have everything line up, you go to choose the camera (etc) for what you want to use and that menu just below the top of the screen is NOT there on IOS. With that being said, your video is mid 2020, and I'm trying to follow along in the Fall of 2021 (possible different versions? Or Android and IOS versions aren't quite the same).

@@NOWitsOKto thanks for the feedback, yes, this video is one year old do they've probably updated the interface. That being said, one would hope that updates provide a better user experience 😉. I've only used it for comet neowise last year. I'll check the current version on Android. Are there any specific issues you're dealing with?

@@AstroForumSpace Well, let's just say the current IOS experience isn't nice. The Field isn't there at all (could be something isn't setup correctly. I'm using a Sony A7III mirrorless and don't see the FOV arc at all). I've been using TPE (The Photographer's Ephemeris, which has been around since 2009) for my photography setup for years and I will admit it doesn't have all the functions of Photopills, but with that said if one can not get Photopills to work properly it may not be of help at all. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Photopills, except that I can't get it to run properly on IOS. (It's probably OHS - Operator Headspace).
