Here is how the stow and go seating works in the Dodge Grand Caravan. Once the seats are folded down you have 140 CU/FT of storage space. You can even fit a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood across the floor.

They aren't designed to come back up. You have to choose if you want them up or down and if you change your mind it will take some work. You'll need to remove them I find it best to work from underneath and use an angle grinder. Eyeball where the seats are and grind through the floor until the seats fall through. Once they're removed you can bring them back inside the van to reinstall them in the up position, but only after you weld the floor back in. Remember to use safety goggles and a fire proof suit when grinding around the gas tank. It's not an easy job but getting the seats back up is satisfying once completed.
@@chrishayes5755 Dang, I don't have a lot of uses for an angle grinder, but the dealership is so expensive. I guess if I'm going to be doing this a lot, I'll have to bite the bullet.
Thanks for this. However, the camera operation was pretty bad, much worse was the udio. Also, you should have had a small LED light on the camera itself, so we could see into the darker interiors. Okay, so now we know how to STOW the seats. Are there any weay to make them magically REAPPEAR? Or once you stow them, they will forveer have to say there in the subfloor?
OCD much? Lol! "Storage is more accurate because that's where you store things that belong to you. Cargo is freight-a payload, something that is shipped, not your possessions.
