It’s actually very accurate if you’ve ever shot a full auto modern machine gun, especially like the Negev. at first it pushes back heavily then once you lean into it it’s much easier to control than an AR or even a blowback 9mm

If the role is suppressive fire, how come the spray pattern tightens to pin-point precision almost immediately after you begin holding it down? The Negev fires a straight beam capable of obliterating anything you hover over with next to no effort. Better yet, it does so with no spray control necessary whatsoever, while being cheap enough to buy both the gun and armor with the money you'd need for just an M4/AK. What in the fresh hell is balanced about that? If we're talking force-buy-friendly suppressive fire, the M249 is the gun that should cost that little.

Actually agree with you. While it having extremely good accuracy isn't logical, Negev is HARDLY overpowered and it's price is fair for what you get.

noname 123 well I don't have any real personal opinions about this, since I haven't played CS:GO in months and don't have many hours on it anyway. Same applied to when I wrote the first reply. "Cry more" could be a comparison with babies crying over nothing or things they don't understand, but when they grow up they will and stop crying over those things, and instead know how to handle it. So this "noob" complained about the weapon being OP when they just didn't know how to handle it yet(basically using your ears and waiting until the spray is over), and shooting/rush the enemy while they reload since you have the advantage in the early seconds of the fight (if your aim is good enough) which is also skill

Sure, a CT can spam a defensive position with the gun (which was the original intent of the M249 and Negev _anyways_...) and hold off a push, but in reality, you can just fucking crouchwalk through the smoke because most of the time you're either in Gold Nova and people aren't aiming that low or you're higher up in which case you're pushing against UMP-45 and armor.

I like the idea of making all the guns aviable and viable ion competitive, but you know when they rendered teh UMP-45 O.P and realize it took one fucking year for the communitty to realize this I think they decided we need to go deep meme, I like teh negev before and I was sad that I could use it on inferno as CT in bana for fire through teh smoke that the T put every god damn time..... I would like to have the possibility to tap with it, and the supression fire to have a very lateral spray..... Instead of teh laser ebam we have. And also why do youw ork on the UMP-47 withoit working on the MP-7? Why working on the negev without working the full metal jacket good old vietnam classical M249..... WTF?

Are you sure that lack of open minded people is the problem? or the fact that they didn't give us ANY servers where people could test the changes? And in a game like cs you need to have a competitive environment to figure out if the changes are good or not. Sure the community could have hosted some servers, but there is no excuse for a bilionare company to not host servers to test on.

It said right in the patch notes how the gun worked and even explained their intentions behind the change, not sure how you thought it was a glitch.

Now they gave it some recoil whilst doing automatic fire, but it's still kinda OP as you still have a lot of control over its firing. Its burst accuracy for the first 13 shots or so is improved too. It's also $1700, though it lost its one-tap potential, which wasn't the selling point of the New-gev anyway :P (Edited this one out as I realised it didn't make much sense XD) I'm wishing for an M249 buff too so it becomes a respectable machine gun serving a purpose other than 'rich team' humiliation. Granted, it's got an alright mag size, somewhat decent first-shot accuracy and ok burst recoil, but it needs a machine gun-worthy role in the game.

That thing used to be great if used right. I remember having games where I do shit at first because I'm using a shotgun until I buy a Negev and suddenly the other team accuses me of toggling because I turn it around. No longer possible I'm afraid.
