Is the BR-14 Adjudicator good against the Terminids now that it has received a buff in Helldivers 2? Join the Bowel Movement and get access to perks: / @drpooplove
This is my life, im on yt watching a guy named "dr pooplove" talk about how to more effectively use a gun in a video game about galactic domina- i mean liberation
When I use Adjudicator against bugs, I always run with flamethrower and shield generator. Flamethrower to deal with swarms and Adjudicator to deal with things I can't stagger like bile spewer. Maybe it's because I play on PC, the recoil isn't too hard to control. It's a fun gun but I won't put it in S tier like breaker incendiary or eruptor (yes even the one post patch)
I really like this weapon, including the way it looks and feels and I'm glad it finally got a buff. Thank you for the video. Thanks to you, I don’t need to test weapons by myself to understand the strengths and weaknesses of weapons and other stuff. PROSPERITY to you.
Your voice is incredibly smooth. I imagine you likely have some quality audio equipment that helps a lot with that but regardless i just wanted to say you are very easy to listen to and I really enjoy your content
It's in the files, so I guess we gotta wait until they finish painting the model before they let us use it. Probably gotta find a good warbond to fit it in to.
I love how it feels like a hybrid between the assault rifle and marksman rifle class. You have to place your shots well, but it has good damage output and medium armor penetration. Against bugs, I love using it or the liberator penetrator because you can punch through enemies with light armor to hit additional targets behind them, which is especially useful when the bugs swarm.
Before the buff i ran the BR-14 (Battle Rifle) by keeping it at 50m scope ran recoil reduction armor and constantly fireing in prone. Against bots It actually made me live longer being prone. I liked the IRL combat aspect where you're not zipping around firing from the hip. I think a lot of people liked doing that cause that's how the bugs play.
It has a battle rifle vibe now. I began using it instead of the Breaker and I'm not sure if it's better, but I like it and it's nice to use a different gun than what I was sticking with for a while.
@JonHack-kd4ru i mean, the damage/fire rate/magazine size are all good on paper... but on lvl 9 and with the size of the hordes (and the number of tougher enemies that spawn), you'll run out of ammo quickly since it still requires quite a few bullets to kill anything medium, and your magazine size ain't that large
A consideration for your testing against the automatons, I've always compared it to the roles of the other DMRs and also the role of the redeemer. I can tap fire small bots and panic spray others, though not as well as one or the other.
I feel that after the buff and reclassification, the Adjudicator fills a solid role as a battle rifle. Heavy duty with high recoil that rewards good fire control. Plus is looks like a mix of the FAL, M14, and XM8, and I love the look of at least two of those! The only issue I have with the Adjudicator in its current state is that it shows how much of a buff the Lib-Penetrator needs now. Its one of the weakest primaries in the game in terms of damage, and ammo economy and superior optics are the only things it really has going for it over the Adjudicator right now. I love the Lib-Pen in all regards except the paintjob, and I mained it for a long time, but it really needs a buff now with how outclassed it is. Even the Liberator and Lib-Concussive got buffs. The Penetrator isn't useless, but it is falling behind. Oh, and I can confirm that yes, all medium penetration weapons will go through a light armored enemy. I tested this with Lib-Pen, Senator, Diligence CS, Adjudicator, AMR, and Dominator. All will go through 1 light armored enemy into the one behind them. You just don't get to see it often since enemies rarely march at you in a single-file line.
The judicator is my primary of choice for both bot and bugs. Took some love to learn it but so good once you get used to it. Pairs very well with stun nades to land tho concentrated bursts into critical areas
About scavenger not instantly dying sometimes. There's 9 levels of enemy armor (3 per each category) if you are not at the same but above that level the weapon it does have extra damage because it counts as weakspot hit. So even if it's 80 damage against light/no armor it should do extra damage and instant kill them. And the shots where it does not kill might mean it was hitting a leg or similar and since all legs have different HP values and if they get broken it doesn't mean the enemy dies (they still receive that leg damage though).
Isn't it the opposite? If your armor pen matches the armor type, you deal less damage. But if it's above, it does full damage. White indicator vs red indicator
Not think bro is bugged: Try this: Try kill SCAVENGER with 1 hit, can't. Try kill scavenger with p-19, kill with 1 hit (be damage 60) if want try hit leg.
A small thing to note, the fortified an engineering kit do reduce your recoil when standing and running by 30% (probably due to a bug) and it makes them perfect for high recoil guns.
@DrPoopLove Crouching imroves this dramatically and makes this a beam weapon. No joke, before the patch I was using this with the engineering kit [+30% ctrl]and had extremely minimal recoil, try it out. Also pin
And then you will put it away in the showcase again. I dont like this weapon. You still need to much shots to kill mid enemies and there is no stagger so they will overrun you sooner or later. It's a run away weapon. With a good stagger and maybe 40 more dmg this weapon could be useful. Stay with the breaker on small maps and arc or large cause I have to take care about my tm8s
The knight is becoming a favorite of mine in the higher levels. It can burst stalkers and most of the bugs fast enough to save your life, and it can take out brood commanders. Run the senator for any armor you cant break with it and it’s pretty deadly for a combo
There is a spot on the charger's side that can be shot with the adjudicator, the problem is that it seems to be very small and I have yet to find out the specific weak point. But I've seen the red hitmarker and I've killed a couple of them this way. I saw it can be done only shooting him from its 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 o'clock
I believe the Liberator has a slightly higher in-class armor penetration value. There's basically two or three levels of penetration in each category, and while the Adjudicator is now strong enough to clear Medium armored targets regardless, but (if I recall the discrepancy between the two) it will lose some effective damage on more armored targets or more armored parts of targets some of the time, depending. Still wish it was decent, but here we are.
I still use it like a Marksman Rifle that can rapid fire when I need it to. They changed the default, but I still run it on semi. If when you say "collateral" you mean piercing through the target and killing the one behind it, that can happen with the Diligence and Peacemaker also, so I don't think it's tied to medium armor penetration. Your comment on the Jar and Eruptor not having as good handling, making them worse against Hunters, that's exactly why I never considered them to be better weapons like many people seemed to. Also throw the Scorcher in there when talking about ammo count per mag compared to the "weaker" weapons. I think the scope on the Adjudicator is pretty good, which is why I'll say I think it's great against bots. But I'm always curious to see what other people think.
I love this weapon, it's the perfect in-between of the liberator penetrator and the dominator. If you're purely a damage person then you should take the dominator, but if you want an in between of good damage and mag capacity? Cant go wrong with it. Cant wait to see the bots video!
I almost never use any gun full auto if it can switch. Semi auto feel much better for me, more accurate, more control, wasting less ammo, wasting less time reloading.
Seeing it's a battle rifle, hence the BR designation, and it's also a futuristic M14... it's fine and being in either class of AR or MR was okay in my book. It's all in how you're using it. But the ammo increase was a welcomed change for sure.
Med pen can sometimes pen charger legs, I'm not sure what causes it but sometimes with the revolver and machine gun I can pen their legs but it's so iffy I never rely on it and idk if any other guns can do it
This gun can kill medium enemies much easier than others because you can just ignore the fact that your enemies have armored heads and just shoot them accurately and they die faster than using another weapon but having to shoot around the armor. It's also a automatic with a manageable 550 rpm which means you can somewhat deal with chaff enemies as well but not as great as Stalwart. Where it really suffers is that heavy armored enemies are still oppressive vs. this gun because it's dominant perks (high dmg, med pen) are obsolete when you fight no different than other weapons with light pen. But that's why it's balanced well, you have a good niche gun but it's not OP because it can do most of it's job with satisfaction but you need another weapon or tactic to overcome it's weaknesses. I'm satisfied with this weapon for the way it is, it's balanced now but the real problem rn is how does the other guns measure up if this gun does a better job than Lib Pen?
I find that the visual recoil doesn’t match up where the bullets land. Visually the the scope jumps everywhere but the bullets still tend to hit my target. Makes it feel weird to use but consistent idk how to describe it. 😅
from the first time i play this game the weird thing about this game is the ammo in the mag, like the adjudicator are just 25 bullets while we going to war with hundreds enemy
I did a level 5 blitz mission with a full squad on difficulty 5 to test it yesterday and I had to reload 25 TIMES. That‘s three resupplies in like 10 minutes
Running the adjudicator is SUPER fun against bugs, and interestingly I've actually been running the dagger with it while vs bugs. Dont get me wrong, the dagger could still use some buffs. But the ability to have a 0 recoil beam weapon to compliment my high recoil battle rifle makes handling shriekers SO much easier.
As much as this gained, it still lost ground in a comparison against the diligence CS with this patch and hasn't found a niche elsewhere. I'm very curious about how it will stack against the apparent 'heavy AR' type weapon in the warbond next week. With that heavy AR theme, it would seem they will be in substantially direct competition with one another.
Correction, Medium armor+ penitration. You see there's really 10 types of armor pen in the game, each wit a corresponding plus or minus. Exept for the tenth which is reserved for things such as the orbital rail cannon or a Hellpod For instance, the autocanon is heavy armor- penitration, being able to do damage to heavily armored targets, but not often.
A slower rate of fire would match the rifle's theme much better although most wouldn't agree. would balance the heavy hitting recoil and more efficient ammo preservation.
Although it may be the best of all assault rifles, the AR class overall is kinda starter, low power weapons type for beginners playing lower difficulties. The big 3 (dominator, scorcher, slugger) and top tier shotguns just have MUCH more damage in a single magazine and with all their total ammo. This thing holds less than a half of a dominator/slugger damage in its magazine, and this fact alone negates all its advantages. As long as this extreme difference in damage per mag/total ammo reserve is present, no AR will be good enough to compete with common meta weapons
The adjudicator is a personal preference weapon. Some will hate it, other will like it or love it. I personally like it. The buff definitely helped, but if they added 30 rounds or more to the mag, further reduced the recoil a tad, it'd be picked alot more often.
@@DrPooplove I agree. Even if they buffed the mag size a bit more it'd put it in a better spot. I currently main the eruptor and/or the adjudicator. Good times.
@@DrPooplove Sickle makes the adjudicator obsolete. While only having light AP, its accuracy and low recoil make it an excellent support weapon sub. It handles most bugs just fine minus hive guards. However, the accuracy allows you to target soft exposed parts much easier. If medium AP did more structural damage to limbs then the Adjudicator might have a place but ultimately is overshadowed by not only the sickle but other weapons.
I love the look of the gun, but not sure how it fits into a loadout. You'd have to not bring like 3-4 different call down options that do its job far better. There isn't enough utility for the gun, i don't mind that but if there is no utility it should shatter medium enemies in far less than a clip to make it even inviting to use compared to the options out there. Maybe I could see this as a viable option when they fix Spears ? Cause if your running a Spear or other backpack it limits your options for a cqc gun. The buff to this gun is like alot of things in this patch, none of the changes really made me want to explore outside the normal loadouts I already run. I think the Dev need to take some of these things back to the drawing board and figure out what role or purpose / synergy they want for these guns when it comes to combination options.
I think this thing was always even pre buff just a better version of the lib-penetrator. Its real problem was ammo. The dominator and scorcher kind of do this thing's job but way better, but that medium pen is really really nice to have. Being able to melt hive guards, brood commanders, and avoiding the partial damage shots on things like stalkers just feels nice. Strangely the community really gets fucked up about ergonomics and recoil which I think is why people shit all over this gun both pre and still post patch. I always considered both of those a basically negligible issue, aside from the diligence cs which is the only gun that really confronts you with the gyroscopic aiming. People even shit on the dominator despite it being better than the OG breaker and a bit worse than the scorcher just because the ergo was a little cumbersome.
Using this weapon on PC is probably a very different experience, where you can just use the mouse to compensate for the recoil. Other than that, yeah, use bursts when engaging at mid-long ranges.
If they have it 30 rounds in the mag and 12 spares I think it would be almost golden. It just doesn’t have enough sustain with the amount of ammo it currently has. Maybe giving it a 450 rof option too to help with recoil. I’m not sure how balanced it would be with those kinds of changes so take what I say with a grain of salt. It just still needs a few minor tweaks
As a dominator enjoyer its hard for me to truly appreciate other weapons anymore. That said, i think the adjudicator as an assault rifle was probably the right choice, but it certainly edges out the other liberators for most situations. Concussive still has the benefits of stagger, though.
Not sure what that means, but i’m trying to isolate enemy types which can be found at different levels and mission types. Health doesn’t scale to my knowledge.
The damage is nice but the recoil is still a little high. I'm liking the base liberator after the damage buff against bugs quite a bit though and I am guessing the auto rifle coming in the next warbond will be between the two. As the Adjudicator sits now, I would still probably go for the Diligence CS for bots and the liberator for bugs over this one.
@@thatoneguy1741 It used to hit hard enough but it handled like the stalwart or machine gun while aiming and it was a pain to get on target if you were fighting stuff close up.
I think the gun is getting decent now against bugs... especially in automatic mode... I wish the mag was 45... versus 25... or the rounds were full AP versus medium armor... It also needs an over/under thumpity thump M203 40mm HE mortar type mod... that would make it S+ tier in a hurry. The other thing that would be nice is... the performance of the BR is like it's like I donno... a BAR or something... like a 30-30 or something... it's clearly a heavyweight round... it needs to maybe be a 30-06 type round... again... a super straight up heavy armor penetration round... if it's gonna bounce so hard it needs to punch as hard as the eruptor... without exploding. Maybe whatever those rounds that come out of the HMG are... Alternatively... if they wanted to give it an over/under 12-gauge master key... that would also be freakin badass... especially against Shriekers... see how those assholes like 00 buckshot through the wings... And as for spores and eggs... hence the thumpity thump thump mod... Oh well... won't matter... Arrowhead will nerf it in no-time...
I would like a gun that mods further maybe with semi auto increasing the damage with reduced clip modable to full auto with less damage and bigger clip
This gun is full of contradictions, honestly... Decent damage but still a terrible ammo efficiency, and a recoil far to punishing compared to the rest of the assaut rifles. A slower fire rate, but still so d*mn fast you eat bullets without leaving a valuable impact. Changes its stats, and you automatically outclass the AP liberator _( Rise ammo pool or decrease recoil, and you end up making it jobless )_ A shame, 'cause the art & sound designs are neat, and I wish I could see it more often... So, I think I came up with an Idea to make this weapon far more unique : not perfect, but a step up to make it viable through multiple scenarios, from early to end game : - Reduce Auto's Firerate to somethin' like 400-425. The Idea would be to make this gun far more slower so each bullets feels like a kick, and allow to control ammo pull while offering supressing fire. _( A pocket HMG of some sort, like the Eruptor can be seen as a pocket auto canon )_ - Reduce recoil to 35... With a slower fire rate and this New decrease, the gun should feel more ergonomic in combat, without becoming a light rifle. It has to feel heavier with it's very uncommon aspect... But this tiny buff can also help the semi fire mode to land shots onto enemy's weak points. - Add incendiary bullets. _( Simply replace in the gun's description "rightuous" by "blazing" and you're good to go )_ the fire effect could offert a bit of an extra CC ability, justifying the slow rate of fire and poor ammo efficiency : in the heat of battle, you may not kill them all, but you can slow them down long enough... OR ! Alternatively, I'd suggest *_toxin bullets_* , but it might be to early for that. - dinally, give it a torch/green dot...just because it feels right. With that, we end up with an incendiary battle rifle requiering steady shots, but providing some uniqueness to the gun, and invite more people to give it a try : either as a Marksman or a Trooper.
Chargers are weakened for 4 seconds post charge, their back legs are a an especially weak spot during this time and primary weapons will shred them apart.
I'm not sure about it being good on bugs for chaff control when its got such a pitiful mag. When it's contesting with the shotguns for warrior/hunter control, it's just not viable. As far as the ARs go, it's a bot only gun. Consider that while it's an AR, the Sickle is basically an AR in its own right and compared to it the Adjudicatior is just not cutting it. It just feels like the scorcher, you fire and fire and then reload and occasionally stuff dies but you're never on a good pace. At least with bots you can burst some head pops on devastators
Am i the only one not convinced on the ttk for spewers? Cuz most of those clips were fast kills yes, however ur reticle was all over the top hitting their back armor and sac exposed above that. Its head is near the ground in front when they r crawling... but ok do proceed. Edit- i saw later in the video the actual ttk and ammo consumption when u actually connected with the head, it was stupid fast and it looked like only 3 or 4 shots. Continue.
they could buff every assault rifle's damage by 25% and they would be perfect. But as of right now, they are just mediocre, and only worth using on the middle difficulty levels. at least this one has 8 magazines. I don't get how you are supposed to use the liberator with its six mags when it takes almost an entire magazine to deal with two warriors.
@@DrPooplove I agree but other than some of the Laser/Explosive weapons there aren't a lot of weapons that aren't just worse in every aspect compared to shotguns.
The horrible ergonomics (aim speed) is this weapons biggest downfall, and it also makes no sense considering it's no bigger a weapon than for example the Diligence. Hence how you can claim it gas good ergonomics when its worse than all the other ARs and both DMRs, is beyond me...
