I was doing it completely wrong. There should be a link to this video in the pamphlet that's provided with the product. She explains everything in a relatively clear and simple manner.
I've never gotten one of these things to work right...ever. I always tell people not to waste their time and just go buy cotton candy 😂. I see you making it work but Don't take this the wrong way but I think the video is fake I just don't believe they work I've never seen one work at anyone's house ever.
Hey. You posted this this a month ago, I is there a way to clean the actual thing that heats it up? When I took of the spiny thing candy got in it and I need help :(
@@common_common8301 that happened to me too. I just put it back onto the machine to heat up the candy again until it was empty cause the candy gets too hard to clean out
I also have to heat it up for 10 minutes or so before I add the sugar. AND how do you clean the burnt sugar off the cage part (not the piece that spins)?
My first try i mistakenly thought hotter would make more thinner strigs and colder would make thicker chuncks and splatter . But the second time i heard hotter was thicker brittle wire like candy and cooler was more light and fluffy so I watched the big bowl to see if the melted candy wasstarting to form a ring around inside of melted candy not cooling into string and I turned the heat down and i noticed no more waste and much more cotton candy from less sugar .
I got the same one and I didn’t get the flavors did yours come with the flavors and I did the spinning the paper roll wrong so that is cool so thankyou

Hi Kenma - We do not recommend it; however, we have had customers use hard candy inside of the unit before. If you choose to do so, we recommend crushing up the candy a little before doing so.
Is there an easier way to collect the cotton candy besides standing there twirling the stick? Is there a machine that just makes a batch and you remove the cotton candy once it's done?
I have not had any luck with my machine working that well. Its almost like the fan doesn't blow it up so I can catch the floss, so I have to dig it out and it get caught on the heating element and melts...
@@jfmc2581 - We have heard of other customers reusing it; however, we don't recommend putting it back into the machine. We like to pick it off the sides (after the machine has cooled down) and eat it like candy or sprinkle it over ice cream.
Unfortunately, we don't have a video right now on how to make cotton candy with hard candy. However, we do have customers that have used hard candies in this unit and had success.
Once the machine is disassembled all the machine parts (excluding the motor) may be washed in warm water with mild soap and rinsed. Clean the motor unit with a slightly damp cloth. Do not soak or immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call at 1-800-871-1491.
Hi @star light. We have found that the machine can smoke if you allow sugar or anything else down near the heating element. It's easy to overfill the floss head with sugar. If anything falls down near that heating element, it will probably smoke. If you think the unit is smoking from inside the body of the machine (where the motor unit is), then that would be a big concern. Feel free to reach out to me if you have further questions. - Brittany - customercare@cottoncandyexpress.com
