This is an instructional video going through the setup and use of the Creality Box 2.0 and the Creality Cloud App. In the video, I show you how to wire up, connect and start, monitor and stop prints using the Box 2.0 and the Creality Cloud App.
The Box 2.0 is an easy solution to setting up remote printing for any Creality printer, and some non Creality printers as well. This saves you the time of having the set up Raspberry Pis and intricate network systems.
Hopefully this video helps someone out there who are interested in getting the Box 2.0, or is having issues with setting it up.

It works with all Creality printers yes, if you are worried about the USB connection port, the box comes with a converter to USB-C

Hi, so do you need to plug in the rather net cable for it to work
@3DPrintingStorecoza
@3DPrintingStorecoza 11 месяцев назад
Hi there, yes, you need to plug in an ethernet cable into the Box 2.0 for it to connect to the internet, it then sends out a wireless connection which you can connect to with your phone or other device to connect to the Box 2.0 in the Creality app.
@antonnissen4052

Did the webcam come with the box or did you have to buy that for it self?
@3DPrintingStorecoza
@3DPrintingStorecoza 6 месяцев назад
The Webcam is sold separately yes, but Creality also has a "Smart kit 2.0", which has the box 2.0 and the webcam together.

Wait so i still need to put the file on the memory card manually? I can't send the file by wifi? Also, i have to plug in an ethernet cable for it to work? It doesnt connect to my home network via wifi?
@3DPrintingStorecoza
@3DPrintingStorecoza 10 месяцев назад
You can send it through the Creality Cloud to the Box as well, I just did this for convenience. And yes, you have to plug in an ethernet cable to it first, it then acts somewhat as a modem which sends out a wireless signal for you to connect to for setting everything up. After that you can connect to it through any network from anywhere.

@@3DPrintingStorecozaThe box is not compatible with 5ghz wifi. You will need the ethernet cable. Right?

I don't understand: for the First installation i must use the Lan cable. When i have done, i can use WiFi?
@3DPrintingStorecoza
@3DPrintingStorecoza 9 месяцев назад
@@chrythemaster88 Unfortunately no, the LAN cable must always be plugged in to the Box 2.0, the box itself sends out a wireless signal which you use for setup, you then disconnect from the box's network after you have been able to set it up on the app, after which you can connect to any network you want, go into the app and connect to your printer from anywhere. The LAN cable must always be plugged into the box for it to work

So from my understanding, I can use the ethernet cable to set it up and then remove it and use it wirelessly?
@3DPrintingStorecoza
@3DPrintingStorecoza 9 месяцев назад
Unfortunately no, The ethernet cable needs to be plugged in at all times, the Box 2.0 acts as a modem and sends out it's own hotspot, it won't work unless the ethernet cable is plugged in

@@3DPrintingStorecoza Mine doesn't connect. I connected the ethernet cable, the box connects to the creality app and I can open the camera and see feed. But I cannot connect to my printer. I have a CR 10 pro. I understand it doesn't have a wifi internally so I assumed I could connect it with a cable. My printer only has a USB and a ethernet sockets. The box has only USB sockets. I connected a USB from the box to the printer and nothing happened. I think the box is trash and a waste of money.

Yes it should, this Box 2.0 is advertised to work with nearly any creality printer, and some printers running certain open source firmwares.
@richardmiller3781
@richardmiller3781 7 месяцев назад
Makes no sense if you can’t send files wirelessly. If you still have to copy your print file to the SD card and then insert it into the adapter you might as well just plug the SD card directly into the printer. The only thing that is wireless is the ability to watch your printer from your cell phone. For that buy a cheap usb camera and point it at the printer.

Since the recording of this video, Creality Print came out in which you can slice your print and upload it to your Creality Cloud. So you no longer have to slice it and manually upload it to the SD card and insert it into the Box 2.0, which is a huge improvement.
@NinjaForHire
@NinjaForHire 6 месяцев назад
use creality print on your pc, you can send straight to the printer then by un ticking the exact printer box and selecting your, then tick send file after selecting LAN/WAN from the slicer screen. the files will also be backed up onto the micro sd thats in the creality box
@HowHigh_Juana

Mine is not recording video. Is that cause I'm printing from the sd card in my printer instead of the creality box?
@3DPrintingStorecoza
@3DPrintingStorecoza 9 месяцев назад
It might be yes, but it could also be because the timelapse recording isn't enabled in the app, there is a setting that you need to turn on for the box to record Timelapse's which is off by default

Sobald es angeschlossen und eingerichtet ist, können Sie von überall aus eine Verbindung zur Creality Box 2.0 herstellen. Sie müssen nicht mit demselben WLAN verbunden sein, um es zu verwenden. (sorry if this doesn't make any sense, I don't speak German so I had to use Google translate) Basically, you can connect from anywhere using the App once you have set up everything, you do not need to be connected to the same network/wifi

They claim that this would work on any non-Creality printer which is running open source firmware, I don't know if it must be a specific open source firmware or any. I would need to do some further testing on non-Creality printers to see what that means exactly.

your full of ST. The box 2.0 suppose to be able to use a variety of webcam types this isnt helpful at all you are using a Creality camera, mind you I have one coming in the mail anyway because i ended up getting a steal of a purchase this the creality camera is no special cam at all its a basic plug and play USB cam. This needs to be shown how its dont on other branded cameras. You also leave you network connections out of the picture, they should be explained, for example does camera require a hard line not wifi? please make some note corrections or something to update this bland everyone has common sense how to plug things in video.

Im soorry bro Im not atacking you but more like aiming at creality for making products that do not work together but a random 1080 camera will work with something like the 2.0 Box makes no sense to me. They even pretty much advertise their products to work together when the truth is that one thing will not work unless its paired with another specific thing even if the functionality is and parts are identical to one another. Look at all the different versions of Box they have.@@3DPrintingStorecoza
