Hello! Its completely up to you and what you want to use it for. Horses tend to relax more with the heat and its great for sensitive horses who may sometimes find massage too much. Equally the Hotspot has 2 different types of Massage that will work better with the muscles depending on if you are sweeping it across muscle groups, or just targeting one place. The regular mitt just offers a standard massage option which we recommend more for targeting a specific area. Hope that helps!
