It’s 6am in the morning and the alarm is going crazy, said Lb. Thank you so much I changed the battery but didn’t know how to get the back off. You save the DAY!!!!! God bless you.❤❤❤❤❤
That battery cover is a serious issue. I absolutely could not open it...but by gosh i WILL open it...but their review will reflect my frustration. Thanks for posting this video.
Just installed mine. Came here to make sure I did everything right. By the way, user guide says: “do not install within 5 ft. of cooking appliances to prevent nuisance alarms” :)
@@TomLeeman Was to write the same comment. Kidde state a minimum of 5 ft. But recommend actually 15 ft or more. I set mine as around 20 ft from the natural gas fireplace up from the ground on a small table. If you use a propane tank, it should be low to the ground to the more effective.
Thanks for sharing, I couldn’t figure out how to get the battery to stay in place.😅 I didn’t realize it ‘snapped’ onto the wiring. You saved the day, sir!!! 👍
It was plugged into wall outlet when this screen glitch occured. I own two of these detectors & have switched them from each other's location outlet but just the one unit had this problem.
Do you have a gas furnace? If you do, you could do that they’re 50 bucks though each I don’t know if you need to maybe the bedroom where you sleep in the kitchen if you have a gas stove
People: better read the included instructions than listen this guy to make sure you do the right thing, he can’t even open the battery compartment since he was pushing to the wrong direction. Don’t waste your time like I did
