Thanks for the info! I haven't used lights on my bike in the past but trying to focus on safe riding more in 2022! Enjoy the adventures and greetings from South Korea!
Thank you, I am glad you found the video informative. One thing with this light, the seat post mount is only 1" (25.4 mm) in diameter (ø) and may not fit some seat posts. Wishing you good health in 2022 ATB, Dave.
It seems like a good peace of technology. I’m definitely interested in checking this out. Just a suggestion, It would’ve been nice to actually see what this light looks like on a bike in your video. Also, it would’ve been nice to get some close-up shots of the remote features as opposed to this far away shot in your video. Also, it would’ve been nice to actually see how this light functions on an actual bike while riding
I was supposed to follow this video up with a series of reviews on the e-bike and accessories, but unfortunately, an ongoing lower back injury and stage 3 osteoarthritis in both knees (which has got progressively worse) means it was too painful to use the e-bike.
Hi David, nice in depth review of this light and alarm combo! I have the slightly cheaper version of this (antusi a7) that doesn’t have the automatic brake light function, it’s just a standard flashing bike light and alarm. The key fob is identical. It was £17 on Amazon. I have it fitted to my Fiido D4s ebike. The alarm is an excellent feature it’s very loud and really provides extra price of mind when quickly nipping into shops etc.
Hi Faith, Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. The brake light feature was not a deal-breaker for me but useful addition, and yes, the alarm is very loud indeed 🤣.
Hi David, I just wanted to say there’s one thing you forgot to touch on,…the key fob battery is also replaceable. There is a little slot on the side of the fob to put a small screw driver in to open it. The 12v 27a batteries are also widely available especially on Amazon and eBay. All the best!
Hi Dave, really enjoyed the style of your review. I bought my Keni from Amazon and have found it very good. I had to buy a new rear light when my previous one was knocked off into a weir while I was taking off the lock! Because I cycle in daylight usually, now I am retired, I only really use it to guard my bike while I am somewhere having lunch (and a beer). I am charging it for the first time so was mighty relieved when you added the final section about charging and saying that it takes about 3 hours from flat. What you didn't say was how it lets you know that it is fully charged. Does the light go out? Does it flash or beep? Maybe you could just add that and the review would be total perfection rather than excellent.😊
Hi John, to be honest, I cannot remember as this video is at least two years old ad I have not used this bike for about 18 months due to back issues and osteoarthritis in both knees. Sorry, I cannot be of future help. Dave.
Thanks for the great review. Could you cvomment on how to change the remote battery? The manual (such as it is) is silent on this point. So far I've used this light for a couple of months and have been very satisfied with it's performance. BTW I really enjoyesdyour presentation. Very easy to understand and right on point. Noel USA.
Doesn't look like a retroreflective reflector to me since mine doesn't reflect any external light. Looks more like a partially floody lens/diffuser to me.
Do you find the brake light works well? I've just fitted one to my Fiido bike under the saddle rather than the stem and five the brake light comes on when when you aren't slowing down it's like it's too sensitive
