1) Put your Mark 2V all the way onto the shaft, lining up the hole on the FRONT of the head with the pre-drilled hole on the BACK of the shaft.
2) Using the 1/8” drill bit, drill into the shaft through the screw hole on the back of the Mark 2V. Make sure to keep the drill straight so you don’t damage the head.
3) Remove the head from the shaft, and use the 3/16” drill bit to widen the hole you just drilled.
4) Replace the head, lining up the hole on the front of the Mark 2V with the new hole you just drilled in your shaft.
5) Insert the head fastener through the front and screw it in through the back.
6) Screw tight to lock your head in place.

I’m have a mark 2f head and I’m putting it in the 7150A string king shaft. The bolts fit perfectly through the shaft, but won’t tighten. Do I have to do this?

Any way to get this to work on a dragonfly gen. 7, or is the locking bolt not an option for that?

How would you take the bolt out... for when you need to travel

The little screw should be able to slip right in the hole on the back and push the front out. Or you can use anything pointy to poke it out.

i don't have a 1/8 screw but I have a 3/32 screw - will that be okay? i have the 3/16 so that's fine.
@StringKing

3/16 will be a tiny bit too big and could damage the head if you use it to screw through the hole on the head. A 1/8" bit should be easy to find at your local hardware store and won't cost much.

Ok, so you recommend against the 3/32 screw too?

Wouldn’t this bore out the hole in the shaft?
@StringKing

What do you mean?
@knuckleslacrosse7513
@knuckleslacrosse7513 6 лет назад
StringKing well like if you screw in a screw too much it won’t grip anymore, so if you were to drill into it, wouldn’t it have the same effect?
@StringKing
@StringKing 6 лет назад
Drilling these holes lets you use our locking bolt, which connects from both sides of the head. When you screw it together it just gets tighter and clamps the head onto the shaft
