The Nanofoamer has been making some waves for claiming to be able to do great latte art for a fraction of the cost of a full on espresso machine. This isn't your average milk frothing stick. I tested it out and in this video I'll share my tips on how to use a nanofoamer, and my opinion on whether it is a good choice for coffee lovers.

You can actually get similar texture to that of a steam wand. :) I use the NanoFoamer from time to time and it even works with oat milk. 😄

As much as I liked the nanofoamer, I hate the button and felt like it was not a pleasant experience holding it down while foaming at the same time. It was much too hard!

Woah, that works pretty well considering it's just a milk frothing stick.

New subscriber here. Have you tried it with the water and soap like they recommend on their website? I've tried and still can't froth and do latte art.😅

It takes a bit of practice, keep trying the hot water with a drop of soap thing cos it helps you learn where to put it to get a good swirl going!

Hello Charlie I’ve been practicing latte art at home with the subminimal nanofoamer but my art continues to come out like your pour at 2:13 min in the video. Anything else I can do to help my art @home cafe by Charlie

If the milk is too thick try transferring the milk from a high height into a separate jug 😉

The best frother so far for me is Hario Frother. Faster & smoother than Nanofoamer... #IMHO

Will this work with milk substitutes like coconut milk?
@homecafecharlie
@homecafecharlie 3 года назад
Yes it should work just fine! Coconut milk isn't as easy to foam so you might need to put in less air. Let me know how you get along

Great video. It is 2 years later, 2024. Can you please review latest Nanofoamer V2 Lithium re-chargeable device and please offer any advice how to best micro-foam milk for cappuccino please? I don't care about doing latte art, I am just looking for great micro-foam for cappuccino and for hot-chocolate and for chai latte drinks. Thank you.

I have one but I don't usually get great foam with it. Best thing I can suggest is to switch to the superfine mesh first thing, and try splitting the milk (pouring it into another jug after you "steam" it). Made mine a lot better.

@@homecafecharlie thank you, already done both but results are worse than my basic $20 coil-tip foamer. I have only just got Nanofoamer Lithium V2. I will practice some more before I stop using it. I watched some videos and I think I am doing what is suggested but my results (Soy milk) are very average re micro-foam. I dont care about latte art, I just want micro-foam milk for taste and texture similar to machine steam foam.

@@yuribudilov5638 always gonna be hard with soy milk. I don't really steam soy milk often cos I can't drink it haha

Would this work with aeropress coffee?
@homecafecharlie
@homecafecharlie 2 года назад
Hmm, possibly! Not sure how well the design will sit on aeropress but you can grind super fine and give it a shot 😉
