There's another super useful control -- if you press both buttons together it activates a spot metering mode, allowing you to set exposure on your subject even if it's in otherwise dark or light scene.
Is the remote necessary for taking a photo with the timer option? I can't seem to find a remote anywhere here in Sweden and I don't want to waste a frame of film by trying to take a photo without the control haha
