A great informative video for 'app' first timers - very well explained. I have always found it to be a useful tool, once you get your head around the fact that it isn't an actual app, nor can you use the wifi for anything else.. when I thought that was what it was, free wifi, I was filled with euphoria, then I felt a tender blow when I realised that was not the case! Bloody love the t-shirt

Our Iona cruise 2021 first 48 hours very few able to get on to this as system was down! This wasn't a problem just went to our chosen restaurant.😂 You can almost overcome these things.

Hi Jamie, I have always found the app does what it says on the tin and good for checking account and getting in line for restaurants while still in our room or from a bar rather than wasting time waiting in a physical queue. The only downside i find is that you have to have your phone in airplane mode to use the app and that is annoying when in port or still in signal range as it stops me receiving messages or going on the internet. Would be good if you could be able to do both at same time.

If you join a virtual queue and it’s a web app, how do you then get alerted that you’re ready to go to the restaurant because you wouldn’t get alerted via the website? Unlike a app

Because the ship’s WiFi connects you to the web page and nothing else

Thanks for the informative video. I do have a quick question. I've been told we can access the "app" from the terminal building before boarding and was hoping to do this due to a late embark time. (This is so I can book some of the more popular venues). Would this be possible before I get my cruise card? Maybe using my boarding pass reference?

You need your cruise card number to access this and these are found outside your cabins so I’m not sure you’d be able to log in from the terminal or how the person you know did this? Maybe same as boarding pass reference buuuut not sure im afraid

It is easy to fail on step 1 'Turn on airplane mode'. On many phones, switching on airplane mode also switches off WiFi by default. However, Wifi must be ON to use MyHoliday. So there is a step 1a that P&O don't include. Step 1a is to check whether your WiFi is off after Airplane mode is on, and if so switch Wifi back on whilst leaving Airplane mode switched off!
