Are you okay? Edit: for the people laughing and joking in the replies, this comment was not meant to be poking fun at the poster of this video. at the time of posting the comment I was legitimately concerned because he sounds like he has trouble breathing P.S: this is directed at the maker of the video. If this comment has offended you I will be more than happy to remove it. apologies if it seemed rude. that was not my intention.

And I thought, for safety measure, the use of command prompt is reduced to chkdsk and sfc. There are a lot of features a basic user doesn't know, even those double edged swords such as cipher. Is there a way to disable some commands?

This is normal, as your PC constantly connects to other systems, like microhard, your applications to find info like Discord and Steam, or other g̶a̶r̶b̶a̶g̶e̶ useful apps.

netstat -a does NOT show what ports are open, incorrect
@tylerc5311
@tylerc5311 5 лет назад
It depends what you mean by 'open'. Technically, all ports which aren't specifically denied by a ACL or firewall are 'open' ports, they may not be used at that moment, but they are open. When you do a netstat -a look after the IP Address to find which port is being used by which protocol. Do a netstat -a in your cmd prompt, and look after the colon, an example: *Proto Local Address Foreign Address State TCP 192.168.0.150:52351 52.242.211.89:443 ESTABLISHED* The protocol in this case is TCP/IP, local address is my inside-local address (192.168.0.X, in this case X is 150), the foreign address is which address I'm connected to, and the state is established, meaning a connection has been made through TCP/IP from my address to the foreign address. The 443 in the foreign address represents the port being used, in this case it's HTTPS (Port 443). Hope that clears some things up!
@stevewyche5232
@stevewyche5232 5 лет назад
@@tylerc5311 If I do a netstat -a and my machine shows listening for port 445 yet in Windows firewall it is being blocked, then the port is not open. It is blocked and you would not be able to use or connect via that port. Yet netstat -a does not tell you that the port is being blocked by the firewall and it's state shows listening.
