Worked 1st line collections while in college, whenever i had someone be super nice/respectful during a call, I’d go above/beyond to cut them some slack. This approach REALLY works!

I love this channel. Sometimes the sound is hard to hear from my phone. The background music made it worse. The music would be a nice touch if it was not as loud. Thank you for all you do!

Pretty good strategy, but asking whether that was the discount amount was a potential mistake and tripping point because then she realises that you are potentially happy with that scenario. Better to have said.. $700 great, thanks so can I pay that $700 right now by card or do you need to send me an invoice? Now.. if it's only a discount she will correct you then you can say. "Oh, I see, well ok um, hmm, what are my options to pay?" Then she may counter with a better offer. You can then option in with, well if I can get it under 1000 I can clear it right now. Asking if that was the discount gave her leverage, assuming it was the total gives you the leverage.
