I know this is old but I fight like your style but I’m going against someone who had a sideways stance. I end up getting sidekicked sometimes. I hate it. How do I defend it. Do I step off the centerline and time his sidekick. I’m good enough and have speedy footwork but I’m dumb aswell any tips.

Hey - it's pretty frustrating to fight somebody with a good sidekick, especially if their reach is longer than yours. I would feint a lot and use side to side movement and circle around so they can't land the sidekick too easily. Once you can cut an angle and can come forward without being directly in front of their kick, try to box them into punching range only and don't let them back out to create enough distance to use their kicks again. Hope that helps.

Must employ the opposite strategy. Feint and move and get inside their range so it nullifies their long range / reach and punish them from the inside and not let them back up or move away.
