How to Use Transitions in Olive 0.2!!

In this video I get to show you the two different transitions. These transitions are the cross dissolve and the dip to color transitions. I hope you find this useful on your next edit.

Your Olive videos are awesome! Keep 'em coming. Olive editor needs more exposure and I think it has the potential to become the highest ranking open source editor. It is sooo similar to Adobe Premiere in many ways.....keyframing, etc. Have you worked much with Natron since the project has taken off again?

Nice to see you can still do stuff with the timeline in 0.2. I am still finding new things in 0.1 and I must have used it for 100s hours now. If you had lots of 'dip to color', how easy would it be to find the right one in the node editor? Thanks 👍😀

Not to terrible since if you find the name of the clip and flow down to the dip to color transition.

there's a pause in almost every default transition I have. Why does this happen?

I do not personally know since it has been a while since I have used Olive, also it has received a few updates since this video was made. Sorry I wish I had an answer for you.

donde esta añadir video efectos olive 0.1 to olive 0.2 ?

You can add effects via the node editor. Select your track and then go to the node editor window and from there you can add effects by clicking on the plus sign and selected the effects that you want.

is realy great that you support Olive! i think that Olive should stay with the old version. we had Natron with node based. i wondering if iit's possible to make both node and standard system for creating effects.

True I wish there was a program that had both. DaVinci kind of has that but doesn't support Linux. Also have never heard of Natron but looks cool.

@@MalakyStudios There is version for linux of Davinci 100% if you using radeon graphic card you need Open CL drivers not open gl. Nad id you using Nvidia nad you have official drivers it should works fine. But Da Vinci is not open source

Have to admit I still don't see anything in 0.2 which would want me to switch from 0.1. Even simple things like the preset colours from 0.1 which I use all the time for captions are missing in 0.2 by the looks of it.

@@MalakyStudios Natron is a compositor, not a video editor. These are 2 complementary tools. Olive and Natron rocks!
