Thanks for sharing this Laurel. I have made plenty of bowls and rugs of what I call "Scrappy" bowls using this technique. In my opinion, it makes the prettiest of all bowls and rugs.

She's probably had it for years. I went online and saw Lowes selling a spool of 1,200 feet of .25-inch diameter cotton sash cord/clothes line for $250.
