If you want to just use canvas for cross stitch use Aida Cloth. The soluble canvas is to cross stitch on other fabrics such as jeans, a baby onesie or a bag. The canvas has tiny squares to guide your cross stitching. If you are doing free hand embroidery you won’t need the canvas.
