I'm 34 and I'm a professional IT engineer and this man is schooling me better than half my college professors did. You have such an amazing future if you keep this up dude.
Wow, nicely done! I'm an IT professional who has to make, review, and advise on technical tutorial videos as part of my job and most experienced adults don't make presentations this polished! Your instructions were succinct, clearly presented, friendly, professional, and natural. I don't know if you intend to pursue this sort of thing long term, but if you do, you will be fantastic. Keep up the good work!
I clicked on this video expecting to learn nothing but was just curious because of the age. This kid is a mastermind, and now I finally understand. This young kid is better than like 10 different articles combined. Nice job :)
OMG. I can't believe a kid can do an exhaustive explanation like this. So precise and awesome voice intonation like a professional tech youtuber with years of experience. Congrats.
Waooooo a young teacher doing better than all the elder one!!!! Sincere bravo young man. Thanks a lot. ( + a very clear, audible voice which is very important, specially for non american english speaking) 👍👍👍👍👍
Love you bro, I was working on a home automation project but I did not knew about webhooks, but I needed webhooks to perform home automation. Thank you soooo much bro
Good tutorial. I've watched multiple videos on this trying to get my head around it and your video is the only one that made sense or didn't leave out a key detail like how to get the key. How do you leave that out on a beginners guide. You are the youngest person I watched and you included all the needed info. I say bravo to you. Now it is time for me to do amazing things like turning on a light when someone comes near the window. I could already do this but now I can do it easily.
Nick, I almost clicked off your video because I thought it was a kid who stole his Dad's youtube channel. I've never used Webhooks but now, after watching your lesson, I can. Thank you young man, you have a bright future, keep going. Checkout Lon.tv reviews.. that guy would be worth your while to learn from too if you plan on bringing more and more of this sort of thing on to RU-vid and the like.

Impressed by you kid, I hope you grow up keeping your sharp brain and curiosity and white heart.
Great video! I used Webhooks to have my wireless charger turn off when my phone is at 100% during the night. Tasker will fire off a webhook when it's full, and IFTTT's smart plug integration will shut off my charger. Super useful.
You Rock! Right to the point and worked exactly as it should on first try. You explained it so well that even adults can understand it. Keep it up. We need more Technocrats like you.
Awesome tutorial, thanks. I managed to create my own easily based on it. Two notes: would be great to remake it on the new IFTTT interface (as mentioned by others). Secondly: would be nice to show the IFTTT app installation on your phone by enabling notifications. This would make the whole hook complete. Congrats again!
My friend, I believe you are the next big thing on youtube. Liked and subbed. I have a gut feeling you are going to be among the top youtubers within no time. Godspeed dude!
Geez I'm asking 8 year olds. Whazza iffff I thimbled you up and subscribed, kid. Good audio decent capture and good camera angle. I'd give you a decent 8.5 out of 10 (but I still got to fool with ifttt some more)
Hey all! Thanks for all your support on this video! I am exploring selling some models on Etsy! If you are interested in helping to support my future projects, I would really appretiate you checking it out! Thanks! www.etsy.com/shop/nickscustominvention/?etsrc=sdt
Man! You are awesome! I am the founder of the #PaperlessMovement and was looking for simple explanations on how to use Webhooks and you just nailed it in 3,5 min! You just got a new subscriber here. Keep going and never give up and if you need help with anything, don't hesitate to reach out. You helped me with this video, so I am happy to help you too ;)
Hi, I believe that ifttt will use up a little bit battery and a small amount of mobile data. I don’t think there is any limit on how many applets you can make.
You could setup the webpage to run a web hook link that IFTTT gives you as a trigger. The downside to that is that other people visiting your website might be able to find the link if they were to run the inspection tool, which would give them access to your web hook code.
They changed the layout of ifttt. To do this, now you click on the get more button and then click on the “make your own applets from scratch” then the rest should be the same as the tutorial
**QUESTION** How do I get a result from a PAYMENT process ( like STRIPE or PAYPAL ) to Trigger an Event or Function in MY website ? I am building a Business Website where in steps ( 1 ) a Customer ( anyone this is not a Subscription nor membership site ) comes to my web site Fills out a Form for DATA SUBMISSION into the Database. ( 2 ) Once the DATA Form is filled out they press NEXT button ( 3 ) they are taken to a 3rd party PAYMENT page where they fill out a payment form and then press SUBMIT ( 4 ) once the SUBMIT button is pressed payment is process ( 5 ) ONLY AFTER PAYMENT IS APPROVED THEN I want the Data to be submitted into the data base. **QUESTION** Is STEP # 5 completed with JS or some other language ? *HOW do I complete the process where AFTER PAYMENT IS ACCEPTED from a 3rd party payment processor ( like STRIP or PAYPAL ) THEN the data from the Already filled out data form is submitted into the data base ??* IS A WEBHOOK required to make this possible ? (if so how would one code that ) Is GET, Fetch, or some third party server required ??
Hey, if I understand this right, you want to get time into a database? Could you use a script to get the time? If you want to trigger a web hook from the website, you could make a button that loads the link that ifttt gives you for running the web hook. I hope this solved your problem.
@@everythingelectronic3014 Not time but DATA SUBMISSION. (1) A person comes to my web site and fills out a data form (2) Before submitting the data form to the Database they must first click NEXT (3) NEXT takes them to the Payment process ( paypal or stripe ) they fill out the payment and press SUBMIT (4) Once PAYPAL or STRIP CONFIRMS the payment THEN I want that CONFIRMATION to trigger the SUBMISSION OF DATA into the DATABASE. I would suppose many online businesses do something like this but I really am not good in coding JS and still trying to figure out WEBHOOKS
@@everythingelectronic3014 Thats all right. Thank you for your effort. If you ever do any research into this sort of thing AND FIGURE IT OUT ( because I cant but I know its used every day ) Let Me Know. Have a fantastic week.
