How to use your Custom GoDaddy Domain Name for GitHub Pages

Thanks a bunch! Godaddy had an A record configured as 'parked'. After completing the steps in this tutorial I had to remove this parked entry.

Yep, folks might wanna delete the "parked" A record that GoDaddy adds in there. After I did that I finally got HTTPS

My website was hosted on WordPress before I tried to switch to GitHub Pages. Problem is: WordPress created its own CNAME to "www "and now it does not let me delete it. Without deleting it, I cannot make a another CNAME with the same name of "www". It says "You can't modify records that have been applied by a product or service connected to your domain." Any way to get around this or do I have to wait for the WordPress subscription to get over?

I'm not able to find an answer to my problem. My portfolio was hosted on the default domain of the gh pages so the relative paths were working correctly for assets like images but now I'm using a custom domain. I'm getting a 404 error and if i provide the full path I'm getting a CORS error . Please someone help me out 😭
