Hi I have got my diffuser 2 days ago, but I felt there's no difference between the 1st and 2nd mode. Is it normal? Can't justify with the duration because I am still sleeping by the time it ends.

If you aren't running the lights and you push the button for diffising 3 times it looks like it turns it off. I s that the case or do I just need to watch it to see if it starts again?

I marked with a marker where the lid and base line up and then it’s full proof, so always runs perfect.

Hello.. may I know if the humidifier has an auto-off function when the water runs out? is this device a cold or a hot mist?

Yes, the humidifier will shut off after the water runs out. The mist is cold as we recommend using room-temperature water.

beautiful product. if your product is out of warranty, and the diffuser don't produce much mist anymore (like me who have bought it from 2020), you can replace the ultrasonic plate inside the diffuser and once you did it your device will shine again. but don't do it is yours still under warranty

Anyone else have this diffuser leak overnight? Called YL Support, was told I probably didn't have the inner cover aligned properly which was not the case. Leaked from the bottom after maybe 5 times of use. Ruined my things sitting on the night stand next to it.

Yes I did. And they are correct. It's easy to not have the inner cover or over cover aligned properly. Ever since then I've been careful and never had another leakage

I haven't had any issues with mine, but I'll be paying more attention when putting the cover on so I can avoid this issue.

Honestly, it’s a big problem. The device is supposed to be unplugged when filling yet it’s impossible to plug it in without the water spilling. Also, the gaps in the base makes it easy to get water into the vents. This product is just asking to be a fire hazard. I’m considering a Vocolinc flowerbud instead.

There's nothing wrong with having the water and oil sit in the diffuser, but we do suggest to cleaning inside the diffuser from time to time!

Does this diffuser turn off after the 5th hour? Is there one that has an option for 1hr, 3hr, and 5hr?

Hi Abby, thank you for your question! The Desert Mist Diffuser will stop diffusing automatically and the fan will shut off when the water reservoir is empty; however, the diffuser will remain on and the light settings will remain as chosen until the Power button is pressed, turning the unit off completely. We currently don't have a diffuser that specifically can be set to diffuse for 1hr or 3hr.

Hi, Claudia! We have a ton to recommend and it, of course, depends on your mood! You can try this blend we call "Book Worm," which is 2 drops Lemon, 3 drops Thieves, 2 drops Oregano; "Relaxation Days," 4 drops of Bergamot, 2 drops Frankincense, and 2 drops Spearmint; or how about a "Fresh Start," 3 drops Orange, 3 drops Grapefruit, and 3 drops Lemon. Let us know what you try and how you like it!

This is so much better than the Rainstone because it is a breeze to clean plus it uses all the oil/water. There is always about 1/8 of a cup left in the Rainstone.

There doesn't seem to much difference in the high and low setting - is this normal?

Hi Sue! The main difference that you'll see is the runtime. High output should have the diffuser running for 5-6 hours, whereas low output should make it through 8 hours. There is normally a noticeable decrease in the mist output between settings. Keep an eye on your run times--if you aren't getting through those hours, you will want to contact customer service.

My diffuser does the same thing. Every single time I have to manually turn the diffuser off or the light will stay on forever: but that works very well as a night light, just not sure if it's supposed to or not.

Brenda, make sure that you are filling the reservoir up to the fill line. In thousands of hours of testing, the Desert Mist has consistently run between 5-6 hours, however, if it runs out of water before that, it will shut off. Hope this helps!

While a diffuser can diffuse water through the water much like a humidifier, it's main function is to diffuse essential oils. We recommend purchasing a humidifier if you're looking to increase the relative humidity throughout the space.

The different color settings are a dim white light, a candle flicker, color cycle option that plays through all of the colors, red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, and lavender.

I have them all and I love that this one is plastic vs glass. But smell wise? I think about the same, I haven't noticed a difference in the amounts I have to add to them two.
