Took my first dose today. I followed this video step by step. It was very helpful. I didn't even know how simple it was. Thanks for this information. I know it will help more people like me.
@lakeishaw2 starting my journey today. This vid helped calm my nerves bout that darn needle. Lol I'm very excited about my journey and hope yours go well. 🎉Let's goooo!!
Better video than those other poorly put together ones.....however, no instructions for length of time for subsequent dose...........I can see people using it everyday... is this bad ? Idk...
Thank you so much for sharing this! Today was my first injection, and I followed along with your video. It was easy to follow and I was surprised at how little pain I felt.
Ohh thank God I found this video!! I received my ozempic pen from the doctors office and the nurse who was to show me how to use it was incredibly ineffective and vague!😡 This video helped me tremendously! Thank you so much!
I noticed that too maybe it was just a flub or maybe it was the needles she put in cabinet. I understand on a couple comments below what the pharmacist said & I’m sure it’s OK but they are saying to us clearly to refrigerate, so I always go by the directions I am given on my prescription PERIOD..
This comment is for those who are wondering about removing the needle. 1. Put the second cap back on 2. Put the first cap back on over the second cap (Do this in the reverse order in which you removed them prior to administering the injection) 3. Unscrew the needle (with caps on) and store them into a hard plastic bottle or jar…which ever is safer for you and your family. 🎉🎉❤❤❤ stay happy and healthy💋
This is my first time taking Ozempic. And I wasn’t sure how to use this. I normally take Trulicity and was not able to get that due to a shortage. After watching this video, I am more confident and knowing how to use this. Thank you for the step-by-step ructions
This video was just what I needed. I gave my 1st. Injection today and it was very satisfying to know I did it. If not for your video I would have been lost. Thànk you so much..❤😊
I didn't feel the needle at all and really didn't see the fluid go down much on a .25 injection. Is that normal and how do i know if the fluid went in?
At the end of this video it gave a written summary on how to use the pen. Unfortunately, the right side was obscured by two different small captioned videos that you could play next. The written should’ve been done earlier or had a longer tail so it could be read. Oh, well. Otherwise good video.
This video is better than those other confusing ones.....however, is this injection for daily, weekly or other?? no guidance on when the subsequent shot is used.......someone might take it all in one day....clarification in needed....Tia
Hi this is my first time using an ozempic injection and I want to know if it hurts when you put the needle? I pretty nervous about using it because I'm not sure if it will hurt. Also I have a question how many times we can use the same pen or do we have to change the pen?
This video was very helpful. Thank you. I did my 1st dose tonight, I think I did 2 doses though, .25, as b4 watching your video, I didn't realise, the pen had more liquid in it.
Understandable, not your fault......very confusing direction out there in sync on dosing time frame....everyday, week, month? , I can see someone dosing the whole box in one day by accident... no warnings!
Can someone confirm? From what I gather the pen has several uses until you finish? It's not a one time use right? And does it come with extra needles? How many? Are they proprietary or can I get more on the pharmacy? Sorry 😅
Starting my journey this week. I have been obese for as long as I can remember. And find it very hard to stay consistent on a fad diet. So I’m hopeful that this is the answer. 🙏🏽
I have been obese now for over 23 years. Now starting my new journey living in a much better and stress-free environment. I couldn't be happier. Ozempic first timer here too and I'm so excited about this new journey too. I might just do something to celebrate my first injection on today. 🎉🎉🎉 Good luck in your journey!!😊
Is it OK if after first use you keep in fridge anyway and not cabinet? Each time you use a new needle do you have to do that prep thing or is it when you start a new pen? Thanks for the info everyone.
i started taking ozempic 4 weeks ago and i am confused as to when my pen is empty. it says it has 4 doses, but the plunger is only halfway down the little window after 4 shots. is the pen actually empty or do i have more doses left?
this very educational as I just learned about the 2 caps on the needle part, wasted 2 needles as this my first time use this type of system. 2nd part is I have a phobia of needles. will try this again on the day for to see how I react to this stuff. was on trulicity no real big side effects...
I read somewhere that swelling at the injection site can be expected, there was nothing stated that should cause any worry along with that. But always consult with your physician if you’re concerned :)
So my pharmacist told me to hold the needle an inch away from my skin but the lady in the video had it right against her skin so which way should I use it?
I put the needle on I pressed the deployment and a shot of medicine shot all the way across the kitchen floor I think I just lost the whole dosage so now I'm going to put the needle in and push .25 and then hold it for six seconds hope that I got the next dose but did I get the next dose and now I'm short one I guess I have no idea and no one picks up on the weekend lovely
Ozempic (semalutide) beverages are chilled until first use in the refrigerator (between 36°F and 46°F or 2°C to 8°C) before they become refrigerated. After the pen is felt, the pen can be stored for 56 days at room temperature (between 59°F to 86°F or 15°C to 30°C). The pen can also be stored in the refrigerator for 56 days with the pen cap open. when not in use
I’d imagine it’s because you are losing weight. Isn’t it if you lose weight especially in your 40s, you’ll look older. Cheek volume goes down, you appear sunken
She took it out of the fridge.. but then put it away in the cabinet. My pharmacy said be safe and keep it in the fridge. Because the temperature in your house changes. Be safe and put it in the fridge.
I switched from Trulicity to Ozempic since there is a shortage of Trulicity and this is far more complicated then Trulicity but I guess thats the way it is.
It looks complicated, i want to talk about it with my doctor, as i would like to try it to lose weight, but i hate complicated instructions as i don't remember things too well. Still i'll talk to the doctor anyway soon
hm i have a question. if anybody knows please let me know. so i have a 1mg ozempic pen. i m supposed to use 0.25mg at start. so can i use it 8 times ? or 4 shots and throw the rest away ?
In the beginning of this video. The lady took the ozempic pen out of the refrigerator. But at the end of the video....she put it in the kitchen cabinet? Is it supposed to be kept refrigerated?
@@sharon6136 no. In fact, my doctor told me to keep it in the fridge. You can’t let it freeze tho. Room temperature if you live in a cold place won’t be a problem, but since most of places are hot inside the house, I wouldn’t leave it outside the fridge. I keep mine in the fridge and I take it out 20/30 minutes before the application
Same my A1C finally came back at 6.5 😂 🎉 it’s actually sad and ridiculous though that it had to come to this. I’ve been heavy and pre-diabetic for a few years and insurance wants to play games instead of just preventing this by giving me the $&@“?! Ozempic before!! 😒 now I have to deal with this diagnosis the rest of my life. Stupid
