@@Itcareerquestions excuse me,(8 month later hehe..) i going to use a TV for movies/youtubes and my old 24inch monitor for gaming.. i still not sure how am i going to setup(for cabling yes,understood)..can u at least point me to the right time stamps for it..(english is not my mother tounge language, sorry). Thank You..
This is one of the most useful youtube videos I have ever seen. Simple and straight to the point. Very helpful. I trade stocks and now have 2 monitors including my laptop and tv. Awesome video!
You are wonderful! I actually understood what you were talking about!! I successfully run 6 one hour Zoom programs for homebound seniors weekly. I've taken on a weekly assignment of bringing my program to an assisted living community. I encounter all kinds of issues trying to hook my laptop with my program all set up with You Tube and Power Point. My screen is not duplicated on the TV screen. All that shows is the Screen Saver photo with my task bar across the bottom. I am hooked up to their HTM1, but cannot make it work. I have had help from a computer person at the facility and they are running out of patience with how much of their time I am using up trying to make it all work. They have given me options of putting my one hour program on a flash drive...and while I have been able to do that with my PP, I am unable to do it with You Tuber intteractive quizzes or entertainment clips. Since I see from this video I cannot "test drive" the change in multiple monitors until I am at the community. I think I will go in a day before my scheduled class and try it out....
this man covered everything, I almost clicked out because I couldn't find what I wanted, but nope, he just knows everything and just gotta remember that patience is a virtue, I was just like 13th in line LOL
I instantly noticed that, when pointing out HDMI inputs, you didn't mention that a GPU has it's own HDMI input. That will be the input you want to use if you have a GPU.
I m just Gona say wow, wow, wow . The best, your actually the type of youtuber who actually cares for their viewers. Everything was on point. Thank you so so much .. God bless you
Your shirts are super clever and cute, so 80's with a technological spin. This tutorial is great as others have mentioned your pacing of directions and clear voice makes it easy to understand and follow. :)
Excellent tutorial.. Not requesting to watch long video and any time-waste.. Only straight-forward helpful content i.e. the one mentioned on the video title.. At last, Really helpful video Keep going..👍👍
Dang, I thought it was just that easy! You did explain some things that I didn't know. Great video, you will be my go-to guy for tech questions. Thanks...
Your TV remote probably has a button labeled "Input". Press that button. A menu of various inputs should pop up. Scroll through the inputs and try the HDMI inputs. On some TVs you won't see anything just scrolling through the menu. You'll scroll through each HDMI selection, but the blue screen remains. You may actually have to select each HDMI input before the TV accepts that input. It's stupid, but some TVs are made that way.
@@christianemerson4622 IF you plug your high quality HDMI cable (cheap ones might not work) into the HDMI output on your video card or other HDMI output on your PC AND you plug the other end into an HDMI input on the TV, which may have more than one (mine has three) you just have to make sure you select the right one from your Source Menu on the TV. If it doesn't work, try a different HDMI cable or a different HDMI input on the TV. Don't think it doesn't work until you've tried *every possible option* and nothing works.
Thank you and God bless you. I jsut fixed my problem by selecting duplicate. I do not know how I undid it but I did. Thank you for your video. I will save it for future reference. Be blessed.
Great video, thank you so much. Referring to the sound using a HDMI cable. If you use an adapter with the HDMI cable will the sound still work? I want to use a DVI-I to HDMI adapter and am not sure the sound will still work?
Great video ive just hooked up my pc tower to my 65 inch tv only issue im now having is the gaming controller doesnt seem to work any suggestions please ???
If you have an option, between using uhd tv monitor with a monitor, which one you'll choose? Thinking to use tv as monitor but my friend told me that this is bad for our eyes..?? Let me know your thoughts please..
Even down to the troubleshooting. I was like let me keep watching because my screen doesn't fit correctly. You also randomly had a Samsung like I had. Hahaha, soooo P Size corrected it! Excellence!
Gonna try your suggestions. Here is my issue.....I plugged my MacBook Pro into tv using dongle which goes to hdmi on tv. My screen saver shows up but nothing else. What’s up?
Question: when I connect hdmi between TV and computer, display does not show on the TV. No input message shows; do we have to do something in settings????
I’m lost at the very beginning because you never told us how to make sure the ttv is on the HDMI I plugged into. You just said make sure your tv is on HDMI 1 or 2. I don’t know how to do this!!
I have an issue with text itself. Using a TV as a monitor doesn't display text as clearly as an actual monitor, even after changing TV settings and windows "clear type" settings...?
I am struggling with getting sound to my Panasonic Smart TV , with Vizio soundbar. Video is good BUT , unable to get sound .i AM ABLE TO GET SOUND USING Asus laptop ??? any thoughts , suggestions
I have used my TV as second display from laptop for a year now. But today, when I plugged in the hdmi cable to laptop, my tv screen stayed blank. What can you help me with? I do remember yesterday I had Dell's update on with me working on emails etc. Could that be a problem or something else. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
My dude, your explanations are on point. You are never too fast, nor too slow, you don't use distracting music all these are gold for non-natives who have sometimes difficulty understanding what is the person saying especially on a IT channel. Keep up the good work.
Agree. This one of the best videos ever. He speaks clearly, says many things in more than one way---a very professional video. Usually the presenter is hemming and hawing or speaking too fast or has the background music too loud.
Right, he is a good teacher...he explains things so the listener can clearly understand unlike many teachers who rattle things off way too fast just because they already know it like the back of their hand.
I agree, straight to the point! No cinematic b-roll, pan shots of the TV or hdmi cord.. lmao. Thank you bro. Finally a video I didn’t have to skip over the fluff. Thank you good sir.🎩
@@Itcareerquestions Dude, a question for you. I have a hp laptop with its screen broken, quite an old one, and runs win 10 64 bit. The CPU part is very fine indeed, and I wish to use my TV as the monitor. I have used a HDMI TO HDMI port but the TV doesn't recognise it. What should I do?
I think it's helpful and creates a great service. If he also left it in the comments, he would benefit in growth and engagement if he did. I'm subscribing as a first time viewer.
@@Itcareerquestions my desktop resolution and my active signal resolution dont match ? any ideas ? desktop resolution 1280x960( i whant that resolution) but my active signal resolution is 1280x1024
Slight correction: the vga and hdmi ports on the desktop and laptop computers are actually "output", not "input", ports. Great explanation! Far better than a lot of stuff on other similar channels.
@mtb supertroll my dad makes 50/hr and it’s work from home, easy job just translating stuff but I don’t see that as being lazy since he is still WORKING??? Even for someone making 5555/hr as long as they work I don’t find it as lazy
I love these kinds of videos! Doing tech related how-to videos and related genres are a ton of fun! Your teaching method is really appealing. Also may I suggest tech news? I would like to hear your opinion on current events. I know it's been done to death but i value your perspective.
@@Itcareerquestions How would I hook one up to a rear projetion television? I have one t.v. and it's made in 2001. Is has s video on the back of it. Needless to say, it don't have hdmi available. But that goes without saying of course. I bought a vga to av adaptor. I hooked up the vga part from the adapter to my pc. And i hooked up a av cable from the adapter to my vCr... Which is connedted to my t.v. Of course that did not work. Any information you may know, would be exremely helpful. Thanks.
I like how you presented this information in such easy and understandable terms. I wish that I had been fortunate to have had an I.T. instructor back in school like you. Thanks! 🙂
Wow you really hit all the marks on this video & went straight to the point. I never “like” videos but this one was awesome. Also I only needed one piece of information but kept watching because you’re honestly a great teacher. Great job.
For some reason I can't get my tv to adjust even after watching the video. It makes my apps and other details too big. Any ideas on how to get this fixed? I'm using an HDMI cable and a Panasonic Plasma TV.
Very nice explanation. I thought my son how to do this since it was very helpful for me during my college years. Over 15 years ago😊😊 it's been a big help for him with his virtual class. It's even better and easier now to do it with the Smart TVs. I highly recommend Sony Bravia and Samsung😊
Been PC gaming for most of my life but this is the first time I have set up dual monitors. Got a hand-me-down. Huge thanks for this video. The troubleshooting sections covered all of my issues. You are a star.
This is the best video I've found that explains this process. Clear, to the point, easy to understand (I'm in my 60s and not very tech savvy!) I've had so many people tell me more complex solutions that I don't need or want such as casting, as I am only wanting to see my desktop photo galleries on a second tv for artwork purposes. Thank you so much for making this video.
How to set up a 4 bank monitor that can have ,say, a word doc on one, an excel spreadsheet on the 2cd monitor....etc w/ the capability of scrolling/moving your mouse cursor from one screen to the other?
Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video! I can't believe how simple it was to hook up my 32" TV to my desktop PC. And, as "william devonshire" points out, the time stamps ARE next level !!!
how to make android tv as a primary screen so that we can run computer on tv screen and wireless mouse n keyboard can be used Directly with tv not the laptop.please respond🙏🙏🙏
