Howfinity .... so one question I have is how to utilize the whole screen of a website that me (the Host) is using to teach something from a website. Is there a way to make to make the website FIT on my Zoom screen? Ty
@@AskBradFischer I believe when you press sharescreen on a zoom session, it allows you to pick your entire screen or just an application or a website that is open on Chrome and your web browser. I just tested it and it showed the entire website edge to edge.
I've been watching videos all day from WebEx and Zoom, and yours was the most thorough and easy to understand. Thank you! I'm a staff pastor at a church and we're stepping up our digital game due to COVID-19.
- Before I watched this I tried to do a video with my teacher And I was frustrated because I couldn't hear anything and then I hung up and now I'm crying Thank you for this video
You delivered your lesson clearly, logically, and comprehensively. If I were your evaluator, you would earn an A++ ... super work, my friend ... applause!
Now this is the way to make a computer video! He has helpful graphics, he moves along at an easy to follow pace, he's pitching to his audience, and not talking over the beginner level with a lot of needless jargon, and he has an excellent speaking voice. . I have seen dozens of computer videos where the guy zips around too fast, he leaves out helpful information and assumes to much knowledge on the part of his audience. Many of those computer videos don't even have a narrator! No one is talking. I know computer boys are famous for poor social skills. But people who make videos on every other topic understand that a tutorial video needs a narrator explaining what is happening on the screen.
You're a great teacher! As a career coach, I would definitely add this to your resume: Communicates technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users. :-)
You my friend. Are AWESOME. Every time I watch videos they over explain or under explain. First comment on RU-vid in years brother. Thank you for this video.
Thank you so very much for this video. I have been using zoom for about 8 years. I am a private music teacher. I am also a computer techie and so many friends contact me to find out how to use zoom. Instead of spending time teaching them now I am going to just send them the link to your video.
Just had my first Zoom meeting thanks to this video, and it was a great success! Simple explanation (thank you, ) and I am sure when I have to arrange a meeting I will be able to because of this video. I used my home desktop as I had forgotten my laptop, but it all worked perfectly. Many thanks.
This was nice and simple, so thanks for that. You filled in some gaps for me. I recently attended a meeting using Zoom and as it turns out, it’s a fairly intuitive platform.
I'm just learning about zoom of which our justice system uses for meetings, courtrooms, corrective services, inmate contacts, law and much more. A great tool. For students and teachers etc. Thank you for the tutorial. Still very new on the market.
You could put something over the camera like a piece of black tape or blob of blu tak etc. If they ask why they can’t see you, tell them your camera is broken lol. Good luck!
I thought you did a fine job on your lesson. You were clear in your descriptions. You articulated well. Your pacing made me very comfortable. You conveyed a pleasant and friendly presence as well. Keep up the good work, my friend. That's what I call good instruction! Thank you!
I want to use this for Piano conferencing. Before this madness we used to meet at peoples homes and play for each other. I'm sure this can be used for Piano Virtual performances. Thanks.
Thank you, I've watched many "Zoom how to's " this one was the best. Clear, easy, removed any anxiety I had on teaching my hubby how to use Zoom, he is a Dinosaur when it comes to any technology.
Very good instructional video for introduction to Zoom (which is exactly what I needed.) Instructor speaks very well also, ie, clearly and no stammering. Nicely done. thanks.
Very well done and such smooth training on Zoom! Thank you so much! I was recommended this by a couple of Friends to incorporate for Interviewing Guests on my Sports Shows and Podcasts! Appreciate this and definitely took notes on this! Thanks, Cheers, and Best Regards, Charles
Jen You have to press “microphone” while you’re in the meeting and it will make cross on the microphone icon which indicates that you’re muted. And yes, you don’t mute others.
This is helpful, thank you. I am a teacher and we are starting to use Zoom now. I am not a techie by any stretch so I need things explained very clearly and simply. Well done.
I can't stand using this app and we need it for orientation in which I miss meeting my advisor to pick my classes because I didn't see the link in the chat.
I have been watching a LOT of these videos and most teach me one or two things, but this one taught me the most by far. The pace was perfect for me and you were very clear. Thanks! You could even go farther back in another video for us old-sters and go over more of the terminology. :)
I've never used Zoom before. I have a first time to use it in the morning from an email link. Looking I see 20-30 minute videos. I'm grateful for this simple tutorial on using it. Thanks
I am absolutely tech stupid. Thank you SO much for the tutorial! I need to set up a Zoom Meeting for next week! Thanks to this video, I have my meeting set up, and I'm ready!! Thanks again!
Great job at explaining in a clear, consecutive style. Some other "gurus" tend to confuse the issue with just too much info. This video is pretty good!
Thank you for creating this content. it is very useful nowadays with the new normal. I am studying online and zoom is the platform we use for our online classes.
First time I'm going to use Zoom this week in a conference. I really hope I'm not going to be the last one in the group to get it set up properly when it goes live. It gets messy when you have a separate cam, from headphones and microphones, etc, and not all built into a laptop. I have a tower PC with loads of different speaker outputs, mic inputs, sound card outputs.
Great content and perfect delivery! 👍🏾 How do you share slides? And incase other participants are tuned via their mobile phones, how do they get to share their screen or slides?
Is Zoom still available as a Free App at this time? I had been using it passed 40 minutes and it worked wonderfully. However, on Friday the session timed out at 40 minutes. How can I extend my meeting time?
Sandra Fennings Hi Sandra. It’s pretty easy but not obvious. After you push the start button to begin a meeting, your screen will have a menu across the bottom. Push the “more” button on the right side. There’s an option for “virtual background”. Push that button and you can use a default background or add up to 3 photos from your photo library. This works on my iPhone, not sure about android or my MacBook Pro.
First and foremost, thank you for sharing these tips! As an educator in these times I really appreciate your expertise! I have a few questions for you. 1. My home page does not look like yours. Is this because you have a newer version or are paying for an upgraded account? 2. I do not have the contacts icon at the top for sharing and believe this would make my life so much easier! Again, is this because of my #1 question or if not, can you let me know how to transfer my parent contact list I have on outlook to be able to use on Zoom? 3. When I create my meetings and start them, I am UPSIDE DOWN!!! Please help with this!!! Again thank you so much for us non-techy people, you are breath of fresh air and have no idea how much you help!!!!
I am using Zoom for my teaching my college math class. I schedule a meeting and send a copy of the invitation to my class via Outlook. If you have your parent contacts set up as a group in Outlook it is an easy process. Just begin an email and paste the invitation
Sir Time for one lap of zoom period aloted is 40 minutes, how we can extend this time to 1 hr or 2 hr for teaching videos, I will be grateful for your kind intimation Regards
Thank You just one Q: If you create a meeting and then send the link out by email to everyone do they have to have the Zoom App on their system to participate or no.
how do you get the picture of everyone on the meeting to appear on the screen at the same time. Right now Ive only been able to get the person who is talking on the screen
@@MrShnazer I was asking for my kids and their teachers and some of the students are six. Next time, try being kind and just not comment... as they say, if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all.
@@karencahill2439 lol Karen! It's a shame that common sense is one of the superpowers that most humans don't have 🙄 ppl can be jerks for no reason! Kudos to you for remaining classy. I probably would have cussed his *** out ❣️👑👏🏾
Very Clear staight forward explanation in a short time. I learned and will test it later this afternoon. Thank You . Good health to you and your family
On the settings (Gear symbol in lower right of image) you can choose a different playback speed. The video originator chooses whether to enable this, this one DID.
I have learned so much. And this seems like a great app to use. Thank you so much for sharing. Your video contains so many great details that I really needed to know! I'm subscribing to you!
A big thank you brother and a big wow a lot of valuable information I will watch your presentation several times and write it down and then go back and apply it a million + 1 thank yous-Luigi👌
