Most likely not. The majority of the time it’s the computers processor that isn’t compatible with the effect.

So after you go to Settings and make sure the Virtual tab is enabled, he says "Now launch Zoom" ... For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get that next little screen he gets. What do I click to get there?

@@SierraBuckeye Same thing, there is no gear icon in my Zoom. I've tried both my PC version and my mobile app. I've tried clicking on different options to see if they'll take me to the same place, and nothing does.

@@Ellecram I figured it out on my own. You have to start a Zoom session in order to see it. Once you do that and chose your background, it will be available for you and to change in future Zoom's. If you still are having trouble, let me know and I'll do it from the start again and try to walk you through it.

Not having any luck at all. I STILL have not got a virtual background. Zoom should have made certain that this feature works with EVERYONE'S computer, not just a select few!

@@VideoZeus Hello!! Thanks for getting back to me. I do have Zoom and I did update it today so I have the latest version. Your video was dynamite in explaining the process so thank you for that. I was side by side with you every step of the way, screen to screen. The last step is to uncheck "using green screen" box, so I did uncheck that but still the message comes up that my system doesn't support the background without the green screen. I have read the comments and no one else seems to have my issue. Maybe it's my computer I don't know.

Snap Camera can be buggy sometimes. Restart both. Start Snap Camera first.

Inside snap camera make sure you have your webcam selected in settings. Then launch Zoom.

Hi, thanks for your tutorial. Very useful. I have managed to use my background without a green screen, however, I was not able to choose the filter from Snapchat. I am not sure why my setting does not show the drop-down list camera to choose the Snapchat filter. :(

Great Video! SUPER clear / informative. QUESTION: For some reason, when i click that little PLUS button, i get "Add Image", but i DON'T GET "Add Video". In accordance with this great video, I did already log OUT of my account on the website AND the app. Then I logged back in & did the settings, yadda, yadda, yadda. Any ideas....? I'm new to Zoom, and I have a feeling it's one of those things that - if it were a snake, i'd be dead. Thanks again for this great video. Blessings! :)

Hi :) I have this Mac... 2019 Mac Pro 3.2GHz 16‑core Intel Xeon W processor Turbo Boost up to 4.0GHz 48GB 2933 MHz DDR4 memory AMD Radeon Pro Vega II with 32GB of HBM2 memory 8TB SSD storage and in a few weeks I'll be buying this Display... Samsung Odyssey G9 (the 240 hertz version) At the moment I have no Webcam but after I've bought the Samsung Odyssey G9 I want to buy a 4K Webcam, I hear the Logitech Brio is the best? I want a crisp very clear webcam picture in low light. I'm disabled with bad speech so I'll probably be hardly talking. But I want to record gameplay from World of Warcraft an Diablo 3 etc with my face in the bottom left of the screen with a webcam and a fire background behind me... BUT here's my problem... I dont even have a Webcam yet so I'm just trying to record gameplay or even my screen as a test, but no matter what app I use whether it be QuickTime - OBS - or every screen recording app out there I always always get the same results which is a pale and fuzzy picture in games or just the simple desktop. How on earth does everyone record gameplay with the perfect image and sound but me. Unless I need Zoom which is the only app I haven't tried?

This is an indication that your machine is likely not compatible with virtual background without green screen. You can use Snap Camera green screen filter to fix this or go out and buy a green screen. A green tablecloth from the Dollar store will do.

THE VIDEO IS OBVIOUSLY DATES. 99% OF THE FUNCTIONS WE ARE TOLD TO CLICK ON, DON'T EXIST. NEW VERSION OF ZOOM HARDLY REALATES TO ANYTHING PRESENTED IN THIS VIDEO. YOU ARE LOST VERY QUICKLY TRYING TO FIND CLICKING LOCATIONS WHICH ARE NOT LONGER AVAILABLE IN THE SUBMENUS HE HAS BROUGHT UP. DELETE THIS ONE AND UPDATE IT PLEASE. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

i liked the snapcamera thing but unfortunately i don't have their system requirements which are as follows -Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit) or newer; macOS 10.13 or newer Hardware: Minimum of Intel Core i3 2.5Ghz or AMD FX 4300 2.6Ghz with 4 GB RAM; Intel HD Graphics 4000 / Nvidia GeForce 710 / AMD Radeon HD 6450; screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher Please make sure that you have the latest driver for your specific graphics card installed
