Rick , awsome A+ job on video , I had to reply to an idiot that gave u a dislike on this video , he said you had pump on backwards lol!!! what a loser , thank you for taking the time to even post a video to help others with this pump ! jontyrant must own a 250 rebel and cant figure out why he cant wheelie lol!!
Hey great video I've been watching that with interest because I'm trying to do something like what you're doing on my 2001 Honda Ace Honda Shadow Ace 750. I need to get rid of that tool box that's in there and I noticed you took two screws off the top but you didn't take the box out was there a reason for that it seemed look like it might have been attached to the battery holder or something like that. I'd like to take the box out completely do I need to buy a new battery holder if I do that? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sandy
On this bike how do you properly remove and clean carbs? Thats a video id like to see. Good work. I cam see you took time to find bolts/ harness placement.
Hooked up some LEDs to my bike drained the battery. Charged the battery removed led wires. Won’t crank up after charging battery. It turns but won’t start.
Man, that’s not cool. I think your fuel pump stopped working. You probably figured that out. I would check your fuses. Then chase down the wires from the relay and or the relay it’s self. Good luck.
you are delusional ! or just a plain old idiot ! Rick correctly installed this pump , idiots like u always have to comment when u should address hooked on phonex ,loser! Lefty loosey righty tighty LOSER !
You hear so much shit about the cheap pumps from Ebay and Amazon and China, and they are certainly also very cheap, it annoys me we do not in this video hear Rick start the machine up.
Best Video on the tube, Thankyou for making it, just waiting for my fuel pump to arrive via EBay, then can start wrenching it in and get back to riding, Aloha from Hawaii, and Mahalos
@@dustytales5829 hi Rix, did you order your fuel pump in this video from eBay? Or did you get the expensive oem? Wondering cause everyone says the eBay ones die out fast but the oem last years. Wondering if you got an eBay one and how long before it messed up again?
I watched your video I got A completely different pump from the auto parts store with the inlet on one side and out on the other I had to do a little custom mount but now my bike won’t start any idea?
What prompted you to replace the fuel pump, I'm having an issue where, when I give it gas the bike shuts off, and when it runs it won't go over 50 mph, thanks for the video.
I have a 2001 Honda Shadow VT750 Ace Deluxe CD2 and I wanted to ask if you might have a suggestion that may help me. I changed the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel cutoff relay, battery, 30 amp ignition fuse and spark plugs. The bike turns on, starter/ignition activates, good spark to the plugs, filter fills up, but it won't start unless I use ether/starting fluid but as soon as it burns off then nothing, nada, zip EPIC FAIL, dead in the water. Is there something I'm overlooking? Is it possible I might have the supply/return lines switched on the pump? But then again if I did the pump wouldn't be pulling to the filter.
@@THESULET24 I happen to have both of these bikes... A 2005 shadow spirit and 86 VT700C. The 2005 shadow has a fat short fuel pump mounted to the bottom of the battery tray. The 1986 Shadow has a second fuel tank under the seat, and there is a longer skinny fuel pump mounted to the bottom of that secondary tank. From what I understand you have to pull the battery tray and second tank to get to it.
