How To - Vinyl Wrap Stripes On Any Car 

I love how this guy takes his time with him making every move he has made when it has came to this car. As long as this video is and I'm already half way through this video but he takes his time this entire time since he started on the stripes with this car. He has a lot of patience that's for sure and he knows exactly what he's doing. This dude looks likes around my brother's age.... Not sure but damn you got hella patience with when it comes to this. Like this dude is amazing with what he does like what he does when it comes to these stripes with this car it looks so perfect!! One key thing here I'm going to have to learn is patience and I mean a lot of patience when it comes to things like this. But it looks so cool and interesting...looks awesome with the work you have done. You did a fantastic job!!

So I loved this with just the satin black stripes but now that the red is on, I think a red pin stripe (about the size of the wrap cut) on both sides of the center would tie the look in even better! *New sub BTW*

Just a little help, use a straight ruler and wrap with some felt or moleskin to prevent scratching paint surface then you’ll get faster, easier, and more exact measurements! Take care and God Bless my man!

Throughout the entire video I kept saying to myself the red of that toolbox would look amazing on this car against the black stripes 😊. The car came out amazing.

if the hood is 60" wide and center is 30". And your tape is 1 1/2" wide. The tape centered would be 29 1/4" on each side of the tape.

I think you are a good teacher. You just need somebody else to do the cam motions because we are just looking at it for more for perspective and we can’t see exactly what you’re doing up. Knifeless tape.... such luxury! I had to freehand cut my stripes using a masking tape guide line.

quick question! How do you measure out the 12" on the sides of the hood bulge? I get it to where the hood is flat, but I can't figure out how to measure that 12" going down the curve of the bulge. thanks in advance

If I want to make the outside stripe very narrow, say 1/4 inch, should I try to cut a stripe that narrow with knife less tape? Or should I use a high quality 1/4 inc pinstripe tape?

A really warm yellow would have looked better than the red I think. It's a little too understated with the red and a bit too predictable/overused I suppose . ... Just my opinion. In lines of work like this, the customers most definitely not always right LOL

Hello CK Wraps, Can you tell me what the best product to use on Black Matte Vinyl wrap to protect it and keep it nice? I have an F150 with the Sport Graphics and want to keep them nice. After watching your videos you do very nice work. I can trust you opinion.

I wrapped stripes on a charger scat pack and the wrap keeps peeling up where I pushed it up inside the hood scoop. Any help?

Why didn't you use that end of the vinyl for the front part of the car. No need to throw it away. You could have left the backing paper on and cut it in the recess of the bonnet and use it…

Woodworking trick I learned for center a strip of wood... Take your full width measurement, subtract the width of your stripe and then divide that by 2. Awesome work as always!

Bloody awesome content, have really been enjoying watching you apply the film and learning along the way. Stuck at home on lockdown due to covid-19, I've done some interior pieces before on an old e46 BMW I wad with some carbon film and had a lot of fun doing it. Have just purchased some tools and a few meters of film to play with keen to have a crack at a bumper some corners etc and just have some fun laying glass. Nice job! Try heat the edges after knifless cut. They seem to get som jagged after cutting so a little heat smoothen them outs ;)

Having a car with a body line down the hood in the canter makes this a little easier haha

I been trying to practice wrapping and I wrap little things just to practice and when I wrap and I’m wrapping g a rounded corner I stretch it over the corner and no wrinkles nothing but when I trim and post heat a bunch of fingers come up out of nowhere what am I doing wrong ?

Did you butt joint the red to the black? Seemed to me you butted the knifeless tape to the edge of the black. Seems to me this way if the knifeless is a little out there will be a little overlay or paint gap.???

I would love to learn how to do this I think I would enjoy it very much. Yes I'm a female so everyone knows... But I bet I could pull this off... Possibly I think I could pull this off. I would enjoy it because I would be working on a car and doing something fun with it. My Stepdad well who would have been my Stepdad he worked in a garage all the time when I was a kid. He can take a whole car apart and put it back together. Kenny can do anything pretty much to a car... I just started learning this year when it comes to cars. I used to work at Honda I can take a car door apart and put it back on. I don't know whole lot yet but I know some when it comes to a car.

I’ve heard racing stripes add 50hp to your ride and I also heard that if the stripes is off centered, it’s 75hp.

Some stalker keyed "F* me sexy" into my Scion. No joke. So I'm going to attempt a DIY vinyl wrap stripe. Will the scratches show through the vinyl? They are pretty deep. Too deep to be buffed out. Looks like he did it with a screwdriver or something more intense, and creepier than a key. Thanks for the awesome video!
