I think it’s an Instagram thing! When I Premiere a video, there’s always a Negative Nancy giving me a dislike. Since I called it out, I now get more dislikes and more likes prior to release. I don’t think there’s any logic to it, just people having a giggle 😁

Wow looks great, you think it would be easy to wrap the whole wheel? I’ve got the ST 2 wheels and not too keen on the silver parts, thinking about wrapping them satin black. Also do you think it would be durable? Cheers

TRMHD certainly do-able! In terms of longevity we’ll have to see. Certainly can’t pressure wash them. I’ll look after them and see how long they last!

Colin D Bit of a trial and error if I’m honest. They were sealed after the video and then for Ford Fair, I gently cleaned them with bodywork shampoo. You can’t get too close with the pressure washer. When they start looking tatty, I’ll experiment with wheel cleaners and see how it gets on :)

Dont think you caught up to me on track which is reassuring about my revo software doing its thing 😂 in regards to the wheels when I saw them I echo the comments I actually said in my head how has he got them painted that well and that quick. Love that wrap idea and in regards to the damaged one too. I'm not sure what colour would suit a blue car but that will come with time. Where do you get hold of your wrap? I may have also used your video for the induction kit and purchased an airtec item at ford fair and installed it their and then with friends 😂

mole259 I just googled ‘Avery Dennison Supreme’ and found an online supplier. They weren’t brilliant so I can’t recommend them, but I also won’t name them. So yeah, trial and error. Could also use different wrap too 👍🏼

Looking at your tire patern , looks like Pilot sports? I have pilot sport 4 on my car from the factory. 44000km and they are done ( worn off evenly) If you have them also , that mileage do you have on your car already? PS , mine is 205/45R17

Benrie Fourie I have a mixture. PSS on the rear (came with the car) and PS4’s on the front. I put them on out of choice as they are a fantastic daily tyre. PSS’s arguably better in the dry but we get lots of rain here in the UK so PS4’s get my vote!

Ok. Just wondering what milage to expect, as 44000km is way to little for the way I drive. I am used to getting 60 000km. I dont have the ST , I have the Titanium 1.0 , so not so much power , driving highway mostly and driving like a sane persone most of the time. Just disappointed in what I got out of them. I am fitting Yokohama's tomorrow. Thanx for the videos!

I suspect the vinyl will come off during the tyre fitting process. This was only meant to be temporary for a show, but it's lasted nearly 6 months :D Tyre change soon, so I suspect that will be the end of the vinyl.

I would suggest a red transparent wrap on the white part of the rear lights? Am i the only one annoyed by that? Also good video quality as always but i think you should show some footage of the end result, like maybe the car driving from different perspective, all around.

Thought you laid the alloy face down on concrete at first, then noticed it was slightly wedged. I think you should probably of added some sort of wheel sealant after going to the effort of giving them a deep clean though. Wrap looks decent, the actual quality of the wrap seems to be helping out with finish and application. Imo - gloss black to match the splitters but chavgold nae bad either.

Pretty cool! Good luck going solo! Wrapped wheels are very sensitive to how they are washed. Mine last 7 months-ish and still looked okay! They didn’t survive a tyre change though (unsurprisingly)

Spoolie ST It’s a valid observation and you are correct. You should be using jack stands if you are doing it by the book. However this wasn’t meant to be a tutorial on how to jack a car up. I’m confident in my jack holding the car, so happy to be reliant on that, but only when I’m not climbing under the car. You’ll see me using jack stands at any point where I’m crawling under the car (as seen in the splitter fitting video) 👍🏼

How long did it last ?

Lasted until I changed the wheels, which was about 7 months if I remember correctly. Even then, the wrap was still in great condition. I did have to be very careful around the edges of the vinyl when I was washing them and could only use bodywork shampoo on them as opposed to wheel cleaner. Still, it’s pretty good for a reversible change 👍🏼 You can see the condition of the wrap when removed in my Revo wheels video

@@JBCTR iv got everything to do mine just worried about the heat, was thinking of painting a clear coat to help against it shrinking. The wheel is matt black with silver outlines. Making the silver outlines carbon fibre

@@adrianedward5657 It won’t shrink - vinyl is applied using a heat gun so the material is well used to relatively high temps. You’ll be hard pushed to get the external face of your alloys hotter than that with road use!
