I was there a couple of months ago, during golden week (top tip: avoid Dazaifu during that week) and as per my usual, I ended up taking the back road to the museum instead of that escalator/rainbow bridge main entrance. Still was a nice walk (at the end of main street, turn right instead of left). It also allows for access with baby strollers, wheelchairs, ... . If I remember correctly there was even a sort of lift. On foot, it's either a lot of stairs or a mountain road style footpath with a lot of hairpin turns. I was really impressed by the museum and the collection inside. Can totally recommend a visit when you are in the area.

Nice. I visited that museum about 10 years ago. Re: food allergens, has Japan become more proactive with publishing allergen information? When I lived there, there was basically nothing. Didn’t matter for me, but I felt sorry for those with serious allergies.
@GOMBE3
@GOMBE3 4 года назад
I think it's getting a bit better in the past few decades but only quite slowly, or meaninglessly slowly I dare say, for most of the people who are concerned. Not only for those with serious allergies but also for strict vegetarians.

@GOMBE3
@GOMBE3 4 года назад
The grass is always greener on the other side! I love the wild nature of the US which is quite difficult to find in Japan. Starting photography might be a good idea to get sharp insights to find the beauty of America or NA as a whole. Whether it's a wild nature or artificial buildings in cities, you'll be surely able to find beauties or nice points that many other people do not realize simply because they are too much familiar sights for them and so bored before finding those unrealized beauties. Actually I want to go to the US again, especially Chicago area, the windy city and my kind of town. : )
