I show you the process of traveling from Venice, Italy, to the Out of Order Watch Company headquarters in nearby San Dona di Piave. You can get there easily by train and walk the 40 minutes across town to their facility. Be sure to contact them ahead of time and make an appointment: it's not a storefront, it's actually their business center, so it's not open to walk-in visitors.
I also show the unboxing of my OOO Swiss Automatic GMT, which I bought while at the OOO HQ.
I'm a big fan of patina, whether it's original or added, because it gives objects individual personalities. OOO shares my snarky sense of humor and love of patina, so it's a really good fit for me as a collector.
Note the hidden message in the watch: Real spritz is made with prosecco. It's a bit of an in-joke for folks who have visited Venice, because the servers expect tourists not to be able to handle the flavor of the prosecco, so they push you to have your spritz cocktail with other, less harsh, spirits. I had it happen to me twice! Insist on prosecco in your spritz!
