I love when women speak of “fine and thin” hair......and then touch my hair and realize they’ve got a head full of hair compared to mine, lol! My hair is literally comparable to that of a very small child’s 😑 I curl my entire head with only 4 curls. Yeah, it’s that insane 🙄 Here’s a GREAT tip that I’ve learned to help keep curls/waves all day. It’s a little extra, but I swear, it makes ALL the difference. When using heat to curl your fine/thin hair, cooling that curl is an absolute MUST to lock in the curl. USE A BLOW DRYER to do this. After pulling the iron out, spray the curl lightly and then keep the curl in your hand while blow drying it on cool setting. This is an extra step but really doesn’t take that much extra time. I can literally run an actual brush through my hair after doing this and my curls are beautiful and stay all day, even into the next morning.....somewhat, lol! This technique works better than “just letting them cool”. 😉

You have to start the curl in the upper part of the strand exactly like Kristi is or the curls fall out. I learned that the hard way. It's the only way that the curl will hold all day
Dang. that sucks. I was just throwing that out there because I had my hair done and then the next day tried to curl my hair and it kept falling out...I was like what am I doing wrong. Haha. My hair is super super long and not baby fine but it's pretty fine and its thinned alot over the years. Hairspray makes curl fall straight out of my hair...no idea why. It's weird how everybody's hair acts so totally different
My hair falls out before I leave the house. Thin hair is a curse. I like to say I have feathers on my head instead of hair. If you relate, you have thin ass hair!
Would love to see even more fine hair tutorials like this! I hate super baby fine hair and I style my hair the exact same way whenever I’m not wearing my natural curls. Bang swoop and all. It’s the only way I have ever been able to get my hair to look big enough too. I would definitely recommend trying the dry bar triple sec texture spray. I spray it all over the areas I like to tease and it works fantastic to give it some grip and keep the volume. Without being heavy or making your hair feel weighed down and dirty.
No one with hair like me ever tells me how to do hair. It's either a latina who like looks like rapunzel or someone who wears a wig. Like girl, MY hair won't do these things. I have short thin fine hair and it won't do ANYTHING.

If you want like volume VOLUME VOLUME use the batiste XXL hair boosting powder that stuff will make your stand up if you want it too. My sister in law recommend it and I tried it in my recent video and holy crap that stuff really works.

friendly disclaimer. Always look at the temperature guides. Little did I know with my instyler, max temp is like 430, 4 cute little light lines....think about that. What temp do you roast vegetables when you are trying to cook them into a crusty oblivion?? My hairdresser said: You slow cook a beautiful pot roast at 350 or less, you fry chicken at 400.

Yes. Thank you! So many hair tutorials are done by women with tons of coarse hair. We get it. Y’all have more volume in 1/4 of your head than I do all over. And it holds curls with a light mist of level 2 spray. 😖 It’s like trying to get advice on covering major acne from someone who has never had a zit.

Also yep... When you use heat you're breaking the bonds in your hair and cooling right after you remove the heat source locks in the style... It definitely is a must when you need that longevity! -hairstylist 😘

Hannah Holloway as someone who has naturally dark brown god and I have been bleaching my hair I think four or five rounds over the course of six months? I noticed my natural texture (type two waves/ loose curls) changed to a straighter texture. There’s still some wave but I do have more straight hair. But if you want super silver blonde hair, take your time. Take about two weeks in between processes. I did one or two months. And purple shampoo is beautiful and helps so much. Those are just my tips though...
Also, if after styling your hair, it feels a little dry, using a SMALL amount of hair oil will do wonders and dry shampoo will be your best friend for a while mostly because you want the natural oils in your hair to come out and help relate your hair naturally. But. Yeah.
I always wanna curl my hair for bigger voluminous curls, but having naturally curly hair, curling it just makes it fall straight after 30 mins every time. Tried different curling irons, different sprays. I HAAAAAATE it, but this hair is perfeccctionnn!

Girl my hair is super thin too and my conair curling iron works the absolute best on my hair!! I have a nume wand and the conair used as a wand blows it away!! And dry shampoo for texture love love love it messy hair don’t care
Totally the tutorial I needed. Just cut my hair into a bob and trying to figure out a good way to curl it has been a nightmare. I didn't realize it was because I was curling everything in the same direction.
