Man that is original youtube gold. Now get your neighbor to lend you his $150,000 boat so you can do it behind that with no driver! You guys got it no problem.
This is cool. If you could find a real long push-pull cable for the steering, and run a throttle cable and start switch wires to a set of handlebars, this would be pretty seamless to run with one person.
You could probably solo beach start it and take 3 steps and cop drop to avoid the handle yank. He’s got the steering down. Carve left to steer right. It twists about axis at the tow eyelet
I think you have something there it is a cool idea. A remote control would be nice. How about a large weight on a bar (like a weight on a barbell) that mimics a human body shifting right or left on turns. This would allow deeper carving turns. Nice
Nice thats awesome lol. Thats a clean 550SX! I wish i could water ski like this too haha nice! I had one that was exactly the same and i loved that thing after having a bunch of js440/550s before that, the rear exhaust alone was a beautiful thing lmao.. Had some 650's & 750's. Then i eventually got a SN SJ and loved it so much i ended up not using the 550 much anymore and i sold it a few years back now. I recently got a RN SJ hull and got a motor and pump for it and put it back together, just need to finish up with new carb kits and tuning and some new tubing/lines for the cooling water, etc to replace the old. Cant wait to ride it! This video just looks so fun and makes me miss my Kawi 550SX now lol, theyre too expensive and hard to find now and i have too many jet skis already lol This looks like a fun spot ride, is that a lake or is that saltwater? Ive only brought my ski to the lank once lol, only saltwater around me here lol. But then again thats where the big boats and big waves are for jumping lol.
It wouldn’t be hard to use radio controls from Traxxas or similar along with servos to control steering and throttle. Create your own hand held controller that uses 4 buttons - throttle up/down and left/right - much safer and very easy to do.
They sold something like that but it was a box that strapped to the foot base and connected to to the throttle and gas and you can control the steering and throttle and start and stop with the grip look into it it was fun.....
There was a product in the late 80s/early 90s that was basically this but with the controls built into the tow rope. The modern version is called the Solo SF? I get it though. Safety third.
In the late 50s early 60s there was a unit you could buy like this and you can water ski behind it... Problem was getting stopped by Cops on the water cuz you didn't have a driver and observer... They went out of business😂😂😂😂 People just can't wait to f****Up a great idea😂😂😂😂
If you put about a 50 pound sand bag or something on the jet ski where you stand the whole thing will work way better. Just try it and thank me later. Lol
@@Clapped_Out_Customs Ok thank you! I have same jetski and wondering is it possible to pull anything with that. I have heard that 750 sxi can pull wakeboards to waterskis with no problem, but ofcourse theres more power and pump is bigger. That information helped a lot and thank you for that. Still exciting video and looks very fun! Greetings from Finland!
News Flash: Circa 1980's used to ride behind a Ski-Free. As cool as it looked, and sounded as an idea, it never made into mass public consumption. I used to demo these for folks on Lake Sammamish, but was really just a novelty toy. Ski-Free Video link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sNVT7eB30T4.html
