This resonated with me last night. Some key thoughts to support this teaching: 1) Disciplining one's life, regimenting it towards abiding in the spirit is helpful, as an un disciplined/unscheduled life allows for free time for the mind, idleness (John 15:4-11) 2) Listening to the Holy Spirit before sin manifests is far better than goind down the awful cycle of a sinful action completed..repentence must create a new mind (1 John 3:9) 3) As the spirit grows in us, so does the conviction of sin, as disciplining our thoughts is enabled by the Holy Spirit, so does self control (2 Tinm 1:7)

I think Mr. Pearl didn’t explain that too well…..No one is sinless….once convicted and as a saved believer in the gospel of grace, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4…… we will never be perfect, we will fall in deed or thought, but we have an advocate, 1 John 1:8-10 ……but we strive to bring forth the fruits of the Spirit, and overcome our sins through the Holy Spirit, striving to be like Christ Jesus. No one knows but the Father….he will chastise us as children, and will take some home early if we’re not in fellowship walking after the Spirit. For now we see through a glass, darkly; butthen face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 ✝❤
That's why he is saying that if we are not chased of God when we sin we are not his children. God peels away our sin as we walk through life. It's not a magic switch.
Hey Mr. Pearl, I really enjoy your teaching. But, I have a problem with this lesson. If we are able to live a sinless life which, of course, we strive to, why did JESUS die on the cross? Why didn't he just give us HIS spirit upon repentance?
@@dmartyair Some do but you still have to choose to follow the Holy spirit and even Paul couldn't follow him perfectly. So as none have ever walked perfectly before God a perfect sacrifice is needed for redemption and sanctification.
@@dmartyair God will not let you down, THAT is the marker of a Christian. That is, if God's voice is there, it means you are indeed saved; else why would call try and call you back, if there is nothing to go back to? Except for Christ? I do not believe in declaring one 'unsaved', yet if you are saved, the voice of God will be evident amongst the multitude of voices we hear daily.

Hey Pastor you are one of the few Pastors I listen to. It was just last Sunday my Pastor quoted that verse in Rom 8 :1 but he didn't quote the last part about walking after the flesh and I called him out on that verse. Because some people think that grace is a license to sin without practicing Holiness. And told him the Exact thing you said ...that condemnation do exist if we choose to walk after the flesh.
I haven’t watched the whole video.. to those comments that people are expressing not knowing if they are saved because they can perceive sin continuing in their life… I have been in Christ and Christ in me for almost twenty years and I am not perfect to resist sin. I have old sin new sin.. some sinful behavior has been miraculously killed. I think it takes time and builds are relationship with our Lord. It is Gods power that saves us and will save us.. not willpower. Bless you all!
I live down under, I have recently given my life to the lord and believe I walk with the Spirit. 2 days ago, I came across romans 8 read it and re read it and became euphoric. I believe the Holy Ghost highlighted this, then the next day I started to read the book of Romans as that was where I was up to having read the WORD from IN THE BEGINING up to Romans, I started this Life changing task to read the whole of the WORD this Year. I am a very slow learner as I only became born again at 67 Now knocking on 70s door. I always recommend that new believers start at the gospel of John, and just keep reading, so you are right on track. Acts, Romans, and into the epistles. The points are there, but you will often read past them without getting the full meaning. That's OK. Seek God in His Word, and you'll find Him. Derek Prince is an excellent bible teacher with a worldwide reputation. He has passed on now, but all his best bible teachings are available on YT. There are plenty of good teachers on YT, but plenty of questionable ones too. May you be blessed with discernment in choosing teachers. There is also wisdom in many counselors. What you seem to have discounted is that transformation is a process. What is true in an instant in the heavenlies, can take a whole lifetime to work out. We are worked on. We suffer conviction. We are tried in the fire. Perfected through suffering. Given a thirst for righteousness. From glory to glory. There are many scriptures coming to mind which illustrate this point, and where you've said "the assumption is" I think those passages dispel that assumption. Maybe examining the tense of what is said in Romans would help clarify these assumptions. Are we to expect instant results from the Holy Spirit of God, or is our spiritual transformation a process? One that varies in length and complexity depending on the individual? I've never met anyone who was miraculously transformed overnight from a lost sinner to a perfected saint with no sin in their life. The rest of the epistles tell me that this is very much a process, and you seem to have overlooked those parts when making those assumptions.

Wherever it is written that no sinner will enter heaven, it always uses the present perfect tense. No one who is and was and will continue to be a sinner. It's the same with the declaration of our perfection. In heaven, when someone's name is spoken, it is, was and forever shall be being spoken, and it is no lie to say such things as we are without sin, righteous and justified in Christ, from a heavenly and eternal perspective. Speaking of things that are not, as though they were, and declaring our faith in our redemption even though it is a work in progress. Ephesians 1:4-14 seems to set this out well. We are 'in Him' from the foundation of the world, before ANY of us had completely dealt with the sin in our lives. Sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.
You can chose to perceive your own sin or be deceived in your own sin.. we all sin. God paid the price for our sin.. it did not kill the sinful nature of our flesh.
I still do things that I wish I didn't do and sometimes I feel like I do them out of habit and immediately after I do them I feel remorse for doing it and feel the need to repent but it frustrates me because I cannot do it on my own which in return lets me know that I need God I wish I didn't do it at all but I also don't have the strength to stop
Same here. Keep trying and eventually you'll have a little breakthrough. Keep trying and praying after that and you'll likely have another breakthrough. At some point you can look back and see that you're in a better place. It's a walk rather than a run. God bless you
question: being in the flesh though, how can we NOT be in the flesh while alive? i mean i love God, Jesus and try to do good and not think bad. BUT, i love music, movies ect... So, am i lost? i mean, i try and sometimes i do fail though. Isent that why christ came and died for us? to take those sins away? we are only human. Finally, HOW can i not walk in the spirit and not in the flesh while in the flesh? truly need to know and grow in christ
@@truebeatlepeople when you are truly born again you get the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will begin to teach and strengthen you. You will get new and clear understandings about the Spirit and the flesh. The flesh is that part of you that wants and desires. You either obey your flesh or the Spirit. Having negative thoughts that tempt us is not a sin. It becomes a sin if you carry out the thought. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. Go and sin NO MORE. Jesus did not die so you can sin, repent, repeat. Sin, repent, repeat. Walking in the spirit means you CHOOSE to do what God says. Sin is a choice. You don't have to sin. But just like I said you must be born again. You can't do this in your own strength and understanding. You need the Holy Spirit! Get down on your knees and pray for the Holy Spirit. He won't deny you if you're serious. Then get ready to be transformed. Truly it's a miracle. Praise God! Hope this helps

Jesus is the only one who never sinned from birth to the tomb...let me ask you, which sin do you have in your life that is so powerful that it makes you a slave to it? I guess you don't believe 1 Cor 10:13 "God is faithful he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. Or 1 John 4:4 "He who is in you is greater than he who is in this world" or Philippines 4:13 "I can do all things through him who strengthens me". Sin is a choice! You won't let it go bc you love it too much. More than you love Christ. John 14:15 "If you love me you will keep my commandments".
Romans 12:2 your mind needs renewed. You can't have control of your mind until it's renewed. Try telling a babe in Christ he has control of his mind and now he's in bondage. To walk after the spirit is to stay in the word and let God renew your mind.
May I voice a concern. If a real Christian doesn’t walk after the flesh, what about things like sex with your wife or hobbies such as fishing or building boats, as you do. Aren’t sex and hobbies fleshly activities? Not trying to be argumentative here. It is an honest question. Furthermore, if you’re going to be black and white about Romans 8:1 (ie you are NOT a Christian if you live after the flesh), don’t you have to be black and white about how you define fleshly activities? I’m under the impression that Jesus died for all our sins, past, present, and future. We try very hard to not live in the flesh, but when we fail, we still are saved. PLEASE correct me if I’m wrong, family.

You don't understand and can't stop bc you don't have the Holy Spirit. You can't do this in your own strength. You must be born again. When you are born again you will get the Holy Spirit. There is nothing sinful about being with our spouses, fishing, or any other thing. God gave mankind much to enjoy. We put Him first and live in full joy doing our lives.
I am confused sir. "Real Christians cannot continue in sin." You said 1 in 100 Christian is saved and going to heaven. However on the video you released January 5th 2024 you said "you don't have to be good, you can be a great sinner and beleive on the Lord Jesus Christ." There was a point where I thought it doesn’t matter what I think. My thoughts don’t matter if it doesn’t line up with God’s. So who cares how I think if it doesn’t line up, I’m damned you know? And sometimes those thoughts starts to come back to me. Because I can’t live perfectly, so any desire to have a family or anything of this world? I try to throw it out because it is a desire that is selfish. It’s like you can’t win no matter which way you go. Yet Christ is still there. Like there’s a versed says about multiply and have a family. But then there’s another verse that says about being celibate.sometimes I’m asking myself if I’m a real believer.
The fact that you are aware and looking at your thought patterns and how you live is not what your average Joe does, he just lives,. It is a process bit by bit, the mind is like a wild animal, difficult to tame but with awareness it comes. Then we fall on our face and learn a bit more etc. Do you believe the Gospel? That is the only requirement to be saved and once you've believed it you are sealed, you belong to the Lord, so rest in that. The Lord is coming , could be any day now. God bless you. Jeff

As a man who was raised Mormon.. perfection was required. I alsways perceived that I was not perfect and felt heavy guilt. The Word of God saved me later in life praise Jesus. I have been filling Christ for almost twenty years and will not proclaim to be sinless.. rather less sin God willing! Bless you!

Is it possible that many born again people are not Christians? In other words can you be saved, you believed on the Lord Jesus, in the biblical way, yet that's all you choose to do?

"If you are a professing Christian, and living in sin, and God has not driven you to sickness and death, then you are not a real Christian. Christians cannot walk in the flesh and live, because it leads to death. But how do we walk in the Spirit?" Actually, there are variables to this. God can be having mercy on you, that you don't deserve, especially to drive you towards repentance. Christians can't walk in the flesh without consequences, and some of these consequences lead to death. The main thing is repentance and the believer's attitude.

Yes. He's a "King James Only" advocate. He believes that the KJV is the Inspired Word of God and can correct the original Greek. It's quite interesting, really. He has said that he learned from Peter Ruckman. Look that cat up if you want to really look into the KJV Only mindset.
We are all carnal born sinners. Then when we accept Jesus, we are born again believers no longer walking in flesh. That’s what happened with Paul. He became a believer, repented, and was one of the important disciples of Jesus. Please take Bible study. This should help you understand better and have clarity.
@@accesstotheredcarpet That's not what Paul said in Romans 7. He described himself as a carnal man, an unspiritual slave of sin that does no good, and only does evil. Your information does not seem at all accurate, but I appreciate you trying to be helpful. My post was more of a statement than a question, as most Christians don't seem to know that Paul was carnal.
@@coquifrog - Romans chapter 7 is Paul going back and talking about what it was like before he became a follower of Christ before he was saved - for Paul even asks at end of Romans chapter 7 “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Then he answers the question in the very last verse of chapter 7 “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” So who shall deliver us from this body of death. The answer - Jesus Christ I’m amazed that some people somehow think that Romans chapter 7 is about a Saved person. Not possible.
